About NSKTU National Sanskrit University is a Central University that is famous for higher learning in Sanskrit studies, Traditional Sastras, and Sanskrit Teacher Education. It was established at Tirupati (A.P.) in 1961 by the Govt. of India and accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council with an "A" grade. It is also known as Kendriya Sanskrit Vidyapeetha, Tirupati society. The University got the status of Center of Excellence in Traditional Sastras during the X plan period in 1989 because of its achievements and potential for research in Traditional Sastras. It offers various traditional courses in Sahitya, Jyotisha, Vyakarana, Advaita Vedanta, Nyaya, Dvaita Vedanta, Agama, Mimamsa, Sankhya Yoga, etc., along with other subjects such as Computer Science, Mathematics, History, etc.

Course Duration The duration of this course is for two years.
Course DurationAccording to the UGC, M.Phil/Ph.D. Regulations – 2016, the Vidyavaridhi degree program duration is for 3 years from the date of registration.

shastra) /equivalent degree (Sanskrit) but their result is awaited, Such candidates shall
be required to submit their mark-sheets showing the prescribed percentage of marks
required for the registration, before the admission.
Concerned Shastra/Subject are exempted from the Vidyavaridhi Entrance Test.
Application procedure For admission in the B.Ed and PhD program, the candidate must visit the official website of NSKTU and read guidelines carefully before applying. The candidate will have to submit a completed application form with the required documents. Fill the online application carefully. upload the image. An application fee is also to be paid by the candidates. The information mentioned in the online application will be duly verified at the time of examination and admission. On finding any type of false information, the candidature may forfeit. The photo should match properly Otherwise, at the time of admission candidature may be disqualified. The candidate must retain his/her mobile number given in the online application until the end of the admission process.
Application Fee The candidates will have to submit an application fee along with the application form. Details of the application fee to be paid are as follows:
For B.ED General candidate/ unreserved category: 1200/- and for SC/ST candidate: 1000/-
For Ph.D. General candidate/ unreserved category: 1500/- and for SC/ST candidate: Rs.1200/-
Selection procedure The applicants appearing for B.ED 2021 can fill prescribed online applications from websites of National Sanskrit University, Tirupati only. Admission into Shiksha Shastri program will be through Online Computer Based Test (CBT) called Shiksha Shastri Entrance Test (SET). All eligible candidates will be required to appear for an online Computer Based Test (CBT). Admit cards for appearing in the SSET will be uploaded on the website. Merit lists for admission will be prepared, and successful candidates will be uploaded on the University website.
The selection into the Vidyavaridhi program will be done according to merit. Vidyavaridhi Entrance Test is only qualifying in nature. Mere qualifying in the Entrance Test will not guarantee admission in Vidyavaridhi (Ph.D.) Program. After the Entrance Test Result announcement, the Department wise list of qualified candidates will be prepared.
