M.Phil (Clinical Psychology)
The candidates must have a MA in Psychology or MSc in Psychology equivalent degree from a UGC recognized University/institute/college with at least 55% marks in aggregate or its equivalent grade. Preference will be given to the candidates who will have a special paper in Clinical Psychology.
M.Phil (Psychiatric Social Work)
The candidates who are desirous to join M.Phil (Psychiatric Social Work) must have a MA degree in Social Work from a UGC recognised University with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate. There will be a relaxation of 5% marks for SC/ST category candidates. The candidates who have a MA degree by correspondence course, part-time course or by distance education will not be eligible to apply.How to Apply
The candidates who wish to join the M.Phil and PhD programme of GGSIP University must visit the official website of GGSIP University, New Delhi and read the instructions given in the official advertisement carefully before applying. Detailed procedure for application form filing is available under the link "Procedure to fill online application forms". Admission seekers must apply online for admission in PhD and M.Phil programmes. For this, they must register through the common registration portal. After registration, all the applicants (including those who are requesting PET/CET exemption) must fill the online application available on the online portal of the university. They must choose "Exam Category" as "PhD/M.Phil" in the online application form. The candidate should provide all the required details and upload a clear latest photograph, scanned signature and left thumb impression. After submission of the application form, the candidates must take a printout of the computer-generated application form and keep it for further submission at the time of the interview.

Details /Pattern of Entrance Examination
All the candidates need to register for Common Entrance Test (CET)/PhD Entrance Test (PET). All the non-PET/CET exempted candidates will have to appear in the CET/PET. All exempted candidates need not appear in PET/CET but download the admit card and keep it into their record and must produce at the time of interview.
PET/CET exam will be conducted online using CBT mode at designated centres only. The date and time of the entrance exam and other details will be displayed on the university's website. Admit cards for the CET/PET will be available online on or before 5 days of the date of the exam and can be downloaded using user account login credentials.
PET/CET will be in the English language only. The PhD Entrance Test (PET) will be of 2 hours' duration. There will be 100 number of MCQ-type questions (4 marks each). There will be no negative marking. In PET for English and Sociology, 50% of the questions will be of MCQ type and 50% of subjective type.
The M.Phil CETs will be of 2 hours' duration. There will be 100 MCQs (4 marks each) except in M.Phil (English). In M.Phil (English), 50% of questions will be of MCQ type and 50% of subjective type. There will be no negative marking in the M.Phil CET. Admission Procedure
Selection for admission to the PhD and M.Phil programmes of GGSIP university will be made based on the merit of entrance examination PET/CET and interview that will be conducted at the designated centres. CET/PET will have 90% weightage of marks and interview and practical will have 10% weightage of marks. Candidates will be called for interview in the ratio of 1 seat:3 candidate.
