Team-building skills learned from my Management Professor

Do you know the important value of a teacher in student life? it is the knowledge that they instilling this value in their students. They assist in developing the desirable moral values of students like honesty, responsibility, public-minded, and become kind & helpful in addition to academic learning. I have discussed in the essay the honor that a teacher deserves and the sense of duty of the students.

Essay on my favorite teacher

After receiving an urgent phone call from the office, I ran straight to the hospital and saw Amal lying in bed, groaning, with bandages on his hands and head, a ban on talking, so I stood and watched. Amal's wife is sitting next to him. I took her outside. Many people from the neighbourhood are sitting next to him. I heard the incident in their mouths. Today, during the tiffin period of the school, a group of thugs came and beat Amal severely. Because Amal called a student in class yesterday and punished him. In his wake today his guardian along with others took his revenge by killing the mastermind. My friend Amal has been a school teacher for the last 25 years, such incidents are rare here today, but today I witnessed that the environmental situation changes with time.

With this incident, I remembered one of my favourite teachers of my life. Even though he was my college professor for "Management", it would be wrong not to say anything about him in this regard.
In our time, of course, we did not see such incidents, but we had enough respect and fear of teachers. We never dared to talk about punishment at home. I remember once in college, Sir threw a duster at me, there was blood on my forehead, but I did not say at home for fear that my father would punish me more when he heard. After that incident, he told me one day that if you require any help you can come to me at tiffin hour at the staff room. Then I often disturbed him with my queries and he simply guided me all time beyond his subject also. I became his fan and learned a lot from him, sometimes I use to go to his residence on holidays for learning free of cost and without taking any outside tuition my result was quite impressive. He was also very happy to see my results. He assured me of future study also and any types of help required. But after that, I did not go.

In another incident that happened with me after three years with him, once I saw my professor sitting on a bus in Kolkata college street and greeted him with my hands to his feet, Sir told me "I don't have any retail money so I can't give your bus fare". I was surprised to hear but enjoy it. Afterwards, we could not meet physically but the connection was through telephone. But sadly, the professor is no more with us today. Now I understand the value gifted by him in those days when it was esteem essential to me.
Apart from this, I remember on Teacher's Day we all used to fool teachers like April Fools. The teachers enjoyed without getting angry. Many a time they used to give classes with the higher-class students of the school on the day of Teacher's Day. Where did those golden days go? And in school life, if I saw teachers on the street, I would run away and go the other way, for fear of reprimand. We are still in touch with many teachers, who are living now, sometimes taking their news. I think they are proud of us as well. We have learned almost everything in our lives from teachers

But who is responsible for such a situation of teachers today? How is this relationship between students and teachers grow? Teachers are still held in high esteem in society but it is sad to think that such cruel incidents are happening somewhere. If the administration is strict, not only will it work, social awareness is also very much needed today. Especially in the Indian tradition, such incidents do not match. I think it is a "shame" for students.

A teacher is a God who we can see. This is what we were taught by elders in those days. There were no incidents where parents coming to school and asking the teachers why they punished their children. All parents used to support teachers only. Teachers were very strict and they never hesitated to punish the students at the same time they are helping a student who is really interested in learning. But days are changed, teachers are being questioned if they punish the students. Even the students are not respecting their teachers.
Even there is a change in the mentality of the teachers. They are also just working like any other person as if they are doing routine work. The governments also behaving similarly. During the pandemic in AP, teachers were used to managing the wine shops run by the government. That speaks about the value we are giving to a teacher.
