My Teacher who inspired me to develop my career
Teachers are the backbone of any advanced society. These are the teachers who help in nation building by creating a good generation. Whether it is Dr. A. P. J. Abdul Kalam or even Dr. Sudha Murti, when asked which of the many positions you hold is the most important? So these two great personalities answered without a moment's delay that the position of teacher seems more important. In this article I will describe the teacher who inspired me.
Introduction
Sarvapalli Radhakrishnan was a great philosopher but more than that he was a great teacher. So in his honour, we celebrate his birthday as Teacher's Day. A country where the teacher is respected is on the path of continuous progress. One of my familiar teachers said that once he was waiting for a taxi in Bahrain. Another person was also waiting. When the other person found out that it was a teacher, he first told the teacher to get a taxi and we took a taxi later. My Engineering Teacher
God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change; Courage to change the things I can, and wisdom to know the difference. When I read this slogan, I remember Prof. D. K. Deshpande from Walchand College of Engineering, Sangli. He was a great example of how to be an ideal teacher. Sir was called the encyclopedia in electrical engineering. I don't remember him teaching any subject from a book. This is because his principle was to study everything from the root. And so sir had gained a wealth of experience by working in thirteen different places. While I was studying, many machines from companies around Sangli used to come to the lab of the Electrical Engineering Department for testing. At such times, Sir would deliberately call the students. He was saying that there should be more practical knowledge. So while conducting our practical he made us do everything from drawing a circuit diagram to making connections. He was very passionate about his students. Also, he had complete devotion to this profession. I remember one occasion. College was over and Sir was getting ready to kick his scooter and go home. At that time, a friend of mine and I stopped to settle the doubt. If Sir has left, we decided to meet him tomorrow, and as soon as we left, sir called us and put his scooter on the stand to clear our doubts. Also on another occasion, I remember when I was in my third year I had doubts about a very minor concept. So I went to ask sir and I said that even though I was in my third year I had doubts about some basic things. At that time Sir had said that the day you found out that you did not know something was the day your true teaching started. I was determined to get into the teaching profession after seeing Sir. When I met Sir and told him that I am going to work as a teacher, he was very happy and said two things that have benefited me to this day. One is to teach students to teach them to understand that they do not know anything. And second, if you don't know the answer to a student's question, find out and teach it. Conclusion
To have such a teacher is to say the fate of those students. Everyone would love to see our India enriched by such teachers.
