Duration of the program
The Ph.D. program can be completed in a minimum of two years duration and a maximum of 6 years. The candidates will have to complete the course work along with the research work.Eligibility criteria
For a Ph.D. in management Sciences
The candidates must have an MBA/or postgraduate diploma in business management or administration awarded by the Indian Institute of management/M.S (research). They must have scored a minimum of 55% marks for General/OBC-NCL candidates or a CGPA of 6.0 on the 10-point scale and a minimum of 50% marks for SC/ST and PwD candidates or a CGPA of 5.5 on the 10-point scale. For a Ph.D. in science and humanities
The candidates must have a Master's degree in the relevant branch of Science and Humanities /computer/English/Communication/ Mass Communication/Journalism/ Media Arts. They must have scored a minimum of 55% marks for General/OBC-NCL candidates or a CGPA of 6.0 on the 10-point scale and a minimum of 50% marks for SC/ST and PwD candidates or a CGPA of 5.5 on the 10-point scale.For a Ph.D. in Architecture and Planning
The candidates must have a Master's degree in Architecture/planning/ M.S.(By Research) in Architecture and Planning or Statistics or Engineering or any relevant area of science. They must have scored a minimum of 55% marks for General/OBC-NCL candidates or a CGPA of 6.0 on the 10-point scale and a minimum of 50% marks for SC/ST and PwD candidates or a CGPA of 5.5 on the 10-point scale. The candidates must have a Master's degree in Engineering/Technology/Pharmacy/M.S. (By Research) in the relevant branch of Engineering or Technology. They must have scored a minimum of 55% marks for General/OBC-NCL candidates or a CGPA of 6.0 on the 10-point scale and a minimum of 50% marks for SC/ST and PwD candidates or a CGPA of 5.5 on the 10-point scale.
.Application procedure
Interested candidate must visit Official website of Anna University and check the details of the Ph.D programme and read the instructions carefully before applying. At first, the candidate will have to register himself on the online portal by entering a valid email ID. After registration, the candidates will have to log in to the online portal using the login credential received after registration and fill the application. On successful registration, a reference/registration number will be issued to a candidate for further use. After that, Upload your photo and pay the application fee which is non-refundable through an online payment. Enter your all details including personal, academic details, experience, address, employment and publications. Once must recheck the information filled in the application form and click on the "Save & Submit" button to submit their application. Selection of the candidate for the Ph.D. program will be made based on performance in the written test and interviews. Apart from this, academic records, qualifications, and candidates' research interests as per available research area will also be taken into consideration at the time of selection of suitable candidates.
