KSID 2021 spot admissions for PG Diploma programs in Design Courses


Interested to join Kerala State Institute of Design for PG Diploma programs in Design? Kerala State Institute of Design popularly known as KSID is approved by AICTE and affiliated with APJ Abdul Kalam Technological University. Also, the institute is supported by the National Institute of Design(NID) Ahmedabad. To fill up a few vacancies, KSID is conducting spot admissions for PG Diploma programs in Design, namely, the IT Integrated Communication Design (IICD) or Integrated Lifestyle Product Design(ILPD) or Integrated Textile and Apparel Design (ITAD). The full details are mentioned below.

Eligibility criteria

Candidates with a minimum of 55% marks in any Degree or equivalent qualification from a recognized University or Institution are eligible to apply for the PG Diploma programs in Design conducted by KSID. Also, those who have appeared/are appearing for the final semester examination can also apply, with their last available score aggregates. If you have professional experience in relevant fields, that will be an additional advantage.

Is there any upper age limit?

Yes, the upper age limit for applying to the PG Diploma program in Design conducted by KSID is 40.



Application form, fee and selection process

Candidates who wish to apply for the PG Diploma programs in Design conducted by KSID should fill up the google form available on the KSID website along with one passport size photograph and proof of payment details of application fee and scanned copies of all self-attested supporting documents, such as-
  • Copy of SSLC/equivalent certificate mentioning the Date of Birth

  • Copy of Plus Two

  • Consolidated final mark list of degree course

  • Copy of qualifying Degree Certificate/copy of completed semester mark list

  • Certificate of eligibility for reservation candidates

The application fee will be Rs 1000/-. Candidates can pay the fee online to be remitted to Kerala State Institute of Design(Bank Account Details: State Bank of India, Karicode Account No: 67320300912 IFSC: SBIN0070870)

After submitting the necessary details in the Google Form, the institute will conduct an online interview on the date mentioned below, through which the admission will be done. Even though the admission is based on KSID's interview, the reservation principle as defined by Kerala Government and as modified from time to time are applicable.

  • Last date and time for submitting the application and fees on the google form: 16th October 2021, 3:00 p.m.

  • Date of online interview: 18th October 2021

How to reach KSID?

Kerala State Institute of Design is located in Kollam district, Kerala, India. From Kollam junction, you can travel by car via NH744 and it will take only 20 minutes to cover that 8 km. If you are traveling by car from Chinnakada to KSID, you can travel via Kollam- Ottakkal Rd/ Kollam- Punalur- Tenkasi/ Kollam- Theni Hwy and NH66 to reach the destination. Here it will take 25 minutes to cover that 12 km. For those who are travelling from Kallada to KSID by car, you can try via Adoor-Kollam Rd/ Bharanikavu-Kollam Rd OR NH 183A and NH66. In this case, you will need 40-50 minutes to cover that 20-30 km. The institute is located at a distance of 68 km from Thiruvananthapuram International Airport.
