The Online Cell, Centre for Distance Education (CDE) of Anna University, Chennai has launched an online management course that is aimed at creating professional managers. The MBA in Business Analytics is an AICTE-recognized program. For the 2021 batch, the last date is 9th December 2021.About the MBA Business Analytics course
The MBA in Business Analytics is of two years' duration and will be in English medium only. The online course must be completed within a minimum of four semesters and a maximum of eight semesters. The total number of credits is 90. You must have a minimum participation of 75% in all the activities of the online program before the semester-end exam or the term-end exam. To pass the course, you need to secure min. 50% marks in the semester-end/term-end exam in both the theoretical modules and in the project work. There may be viva-voce exams as well, and the exams may be conducted in Proctored mode.
Mark sheets will be issued for each semester, and the Degree awarded on successful completion of the course. First Class with Distinction is awarded if you score not less than 75% of total marks (continuous assessment + semester-end exam), First Class if it is not less than 60%, and Passed in the case of less than 60%.
Learning modules
Each semester's curriculum will be covered within about 700 hours, with the four semesters divided into four Quadrants. The First Quadrant has e-Tutorials with audio-visual content, such as illustrations and graphs, animations, videos, etc with transcriptions of the videos. The Second Quadrant with digital self-learning material includes case studies, relevant links to open source content, research papers, e-books, etc. The Third Quadrant has a general interactive forum where you can discuss aspects of the course with the course coordinator and other team members who are part of the online program. The Final Quadrant has assessment lessons in objective or subjective format, such as MCQs, quizzes, assignments, etc.

About the project work: As per the university rules, the project will be done under the supervision of a qualified guide(s). Subsequently, the project report has to be duly signed by the guide(s) and submitted to Online Cell, CDE. You need to have a Degree in any stream to be eligible for the MBA Business Analytics program. This could be a three-year or a four-year program after passing the 10+2 exam or an equivalent exam under the Indian Board or a foreign board or 8+4 or 9+3 under a foreign board.
