BITS Pilani Doctoral Ph.D. Programme Admissions 2021-22
Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani is inviting applications from eligible candidates for full-time and part-time Ph.D. programs for the Second Semester of the Academic Year 2021-22. Applications are called for admissions in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses of BITS Pilani. Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani a premier Institute of Higher Education and a deemed University offers several degree programmes in Engineering, Sciences, Technology, Pharmacy, Management and Humanities. Currently, the institute has called applications for admission to on-campus Ph.D. degree programmes for Pilani campus, Goa Campus and Hyderabad Campus of BITS, Pilani.

Full-time :The candidates who will join in-house Ph.D. or full-time Ph.D. will be residing on campus.
Part-time:The candidates who are working in organizations can join Ph.D. programs part-time. They will have to conduct research using basic facilities and an environment for research of their organization.
Financial Support
The Ph.D. scholars who will join the full-time Ph.D. programme will be eligible to receive a fellowship of Rs.28,000 or Rs.31,000 per month as per intake qualifications. Fellowship conditions will be followed as per institute norms. A full-time student will have to work 8-10 hours per week as assigned by the institute. Eligibility Criteria
The candidates must have any of the following degrees such as M.E. or M.Tech. or M.Pharm. or MBA or M.Phil. or M.Sc. or B.E. or B.Pharm. or any equivalent degree. They must have scored at least 60% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree examination.
The candidates who are seeking admission into Humanities and Social Sciences must have M.A. degree and must secure a minimum of 55% aggregate marks in the qualifying degree examination.Application Procedure
The candidates wishing to join the Ph.D. programme must visit the official website of BITS Pilani and must fill the prescribed application form available on the website. To fill application online, the candidates will have to register themselves and generate a username and password. For this purpose, a registered mobile number and email ID will be required. Campus /campuses preference, for which the candidates wishing to apply, needs to be given while filling online application. Application is to be submitted online only and no need to submit a hard copy. It is suggested to take a printout of the computer-generated filled application form and keep it safely for future record. Application Fee
The completed application form must be accompanied by the prescribed application fee of Rs.2600/- (non-refundable) and paid at the time of submission of the online form.Selection Criteria
In addition to minimum eligibility criteria for admission, Departments may set specific criteria for shortlisting of the candidates. The shortlisted candidates will have to appear for a written test and/or interview.
