NEET-PG 2022 online applications open for medical courses admissions in India

The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) invites eligible candidates to register for the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test-PG. This is a mandatory national level exam that makes students eligible to seek admission to various MD/MS and PG Diploma Courses to various universities and recognized educational institutions in India, including private medical colleges, and Armed Forces Medical Services Institutions. The scores obtained through NEET-PG 2022 will be valid for admission to the 2022 academic session only, and cannot be considered as valid for future academic sessions.

Firstly, you must ensure that the MBBS degree you have got is recognized as per the norms of the National Medical Commission (NMC) Act, 2019 and the Indian Medical Council Act.
Secondly, foreign nationals seeking admission to medical courses in India are also required to appear for the NEET-PG exam.
Thirdly, successful candidates of NEET-PG 2022 will get provisional admission only. The final selection and admission to a postgraduate seat in any of these medical institutions will be based on meeting all the requisite admission criteria, including medical fitness and other criteria of the respective universities/institutions.
Finally, note that the NEET-PG exam does not cover centralized admissions for MD/MS seats at any of the AIIMS institutes, including AIIMS New Delhi, at PGIMER in Chandigarh, at JIPMER in Puducherry, at NIMHANS in Bengaluru, and Sree Chitra Tirunal Institute for Medical Sciences and Technology in Trivandrum.Eligibility requirements for NEET-PG 2022
You must have a recognized M.B.B.S. Degree as per the norms of NMC/Medical Council of India.
You should have completed one year of internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 31st May 2022. You will not be permitted to appear for NEET-PG 2022 if you are completing your internship after this date, and requests for the same will not be permitted. You must submit the original Compulsory Rotating Resident Internship completion certificate at the time of counselling/admission to the allotted medical college/institute.
Eligibility for Foreign Medical Graduates
If you are an Indian citizen or an overseas citizen of India who has obtained the primary medical qualifications from Medical Colleges outside India, then you should have qualified for the Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE) Screening Test as per the norms of NBEMS. You should also have been registered with the NMC/Medical Council of India or a State Medical Council and completed your internship or are likely to complete the internship on or before 31st May 2022. You must bring the FMGE Pass certificate issued by NBEMS on the day of the NEET-PG exam, along with the provisional/permanent registration certificate issued by a medical council.Eligibility for Foreign Nationals
If you are a foreign national, then you can appear for NEET-PG 2022 without registration with the National Medical Commission (NMC). The NMC may give temporary registration for the duration of the medical Post Graduate course on payment of the prescribed fee for registration. However, in such a case, you must be duly registered with the appropriate registering authority in the foreign country from where you obtained your basic medical qualification. Also, this qualification should be duly recognized by the corresponding Medical Council or concerned authority of that country.Application procedure for NEET-PG 2022
You have to register and apply for NEET-PG 2022 only through the online mode at the official NBEMS website. Before you do so, though, you must go through the information bulletin that is available for download at the portal.
Registration will begin with a User ID and password and you must ensure that you mention your full name exactly as it is mentioned in your MBBS qualification certificate. Note that once you submit your application, you will not be able to correct the name, and you must produce the Govt.-issued ID proof bearing the same name at the test center. You are required to provide a valid Email ID and Mobile phone number as well and upload the relevant documents as per the specifications mentioned in the information bulletin.
NEET-PG 2022 Exam Fee
Candidates appearing for the exam in the categories of General, OBC and EWS have to pay an exam fee of Rs. 4250/- and SC, ST, PwD candidates have to pay an exam fee of Rs.3250/-. This fee is not refundable and should be paid online with a Credit Card, Debit Card or any other online payment option that will be available on the portal.NEET-PG 2022 Exam Format
The exam is a Computer Based Test (CBT) of 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQ) in English for 3 hours 30 minutes. Each correct answer will get four marks and one mark will be deducted for an incorrect answer. An answer that has not been attempted at all will be given a zero. The syllabus is based on the subject area as per the Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by the Medical Council of India.Important notes for going to the exam centre There are 256 cities hosting the exam centres for conducting the offline NEET-PG exam. You can choose the city at the time of submitting your online application, but the allotment will be done on a first come first serve basis. You will know the exact venue through the Admit Card. You will not be allowed inside the test center without the Admit Card and with the latest passport size photo in the space provided for it on the admit card. The photo should be a coloured one on a white background, with the head and face clearly showing, and a minimum of 35x45 mm.
You must also bring to the test center the following documents for verification-
(i) Photocopy of Permanent/Provisional SMC/MCI/NMC registration (this will be retained by the officials of the test centre). (ii) A valid Govt.-issued photo ID Card (bring at least one), such as Aadhar Card (with photo), PAN card, driving license, passport, or Voter ID.
In the case of foreign nationals- The original and valid passport and any other documents (registration with the Medical Council in the country of nationality) as proof of being a medical practitioner in their country.
In the case of Indian Citizens/OCI with foreign qualification- original FMGE (Screening Test) Pass certificate issued on the NBEMS letterhead.
Registration will begin at the centre at 7 a.m. and no entry will be allowed after 8.30 a.m. You will start reading the instructions on the computer at 8.50 a.m., and the exam will begin at sharp 9 a.m. and end at 12.30 noon.
There will be staggered time slots for candidates to report. Accordingly, a time slot will be sent to you via SMS on the registered mobile number one day before the date of the exam.
