Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Mumbai has announced admissions to its Mumbai Public Schools (MPS) for the academic session 2022-2023. There are a total of 722 vacant seats in the 12 schools, with 11 of the schools offering the CBSE curriculum, while one is offering the ICSE curriculum.
Admission for the 2022-23 academic year is open from Nursery to Class 8. While there are 40 seats available for Nursery at all the schools, admission to the higher classes is as per the number of vacant seats for each class. The classwise seat vacancy is provided below. Note that the official website does not mention the age eligibility criteria.

Applications for admission should be made online at the official BMC Public Schools Admission 2022 website.
During the online application process, parents should upload the relevant documents as instructed on the screen, namely (i) The Aadhar Card of the student; and (ii) The Aadhar Card of a parent (ensure that you correctly enter the numbers on the Cards in the box provided). Also, a passport-size photo of the student has to be uploaded in .bmp or .JPG or .JPEG format (maximum 128KB).What to do after getting admission
On getting selected for admission, parents have to visit the school with the birth certificate of the student and valid address proof. Note that admission will be subject to the School Leaving Certificate from Grade 2 to Grade 8.
Schedule of Important dates for BMC Public Schools Admissions Online application is open from 4th January 2022 to 4th February 2022.
Document verification and Counselling session with the Parents will be from 15th January 2022 to 9th February 2022.
The shortlisted candidates' list will be released on 14th February 2022.
The lottery draw process will be from 16th to 18th February 2022.
The list of selected candidates will be released on 21st February 2022.
The enrollment process for admission of the selected candidates will begin when the final list is displayed, up to 12th March 2022.
The school academic session for 2022-23 will begin in the month of June 2022.
