Overview

The Kissan Institute of Technology's Industrial Training Institute, Jammu offers one-year and two-year courses in various trades. The courses are offered as part of the Central Govt. schemes to provide vocational training to youth to provide them with employment opportunities in both, the Govt. and private sectors. Funds for these courses are offered by the Central Govt. Currently, admissions are open for January/February 2022, but there is no last date specified for submitting the applications.



KIT-ITI is recognized by the Central Govt., and is affiliated with the Directorate of Technical Education Jammu & Kashmir/DGT/NCVT, and MHRD, Govt of India. The institute has labs with the requisite equipment for practicals, a computer lab, a library, and separate hostel facilities for boys and girls.
On successful completion of the course, candidates will get the ITI diploma/certificate that is valid for getting a job in Government service. Free training is provided for handicapped people, for children of widows, and those from families who are from the weaker sections of society. Additionally, there is an option to attend online classes. Candidates who are from SC, ST, OBC, and minority categories can apply forscholarships. The admission fee for all the courses is Rs.1,500/-
