The Sanjay Gandhi Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences. Lucknow was founded in 1983 under the State Legislature Act, and it has since been dedicated to providing students and researchers with high-quality medical education, training, and research opportunities. Currently, the University has invited applications for admission to the Ph.D. Program 2022 (Session-I). Departments offering Ph.D.
Students can join the Ph.D. programme in the Institute in the following departments:Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must possess a postgraduate degree in a science subject. They must have received a letter of award for fellowship and contingency from any government funding agency for a minimum period of three years.
Candidates who are working as SRF, JRF, or research assistants in extramural projects or other projects at SGPGIMS and are receiving funding from government funding agencies are also eligible to apply, provided that the duration of the project should be at least three years and must receive funding from government funding agencies.Application Procedure
Desirous candidates are requested to visit the official website of SGPGIMS, Lucknow and check the eligibility for admission to the Ph.D. program. The candidates may interact directly with prospective guides (a list of prospective guides is available in the official notification provided at the end of this article) and discuss the area of their interest. They must apply with a curriculum vitae along with the required documents. Please note that the CV must include a mobile number and an email ID. The selection of the students will be based on an interview. The applications received by the last date will be screened, and the eligible candidates will be called to attend the interview before the Institute Interview Board. Intimation of the interview schedule will be given through email or speed post.
