About CUO

The Central Institute of Tool Design (CITD), Balanagar, Hyderabad has been established in the year 1968 by the Government of India with the assistance of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and International Labour Organisation (ILO) as an executing agency and later it was converted into a Government of India Society in 1970 under the control of the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME). CITD offers specialised training courses in Tool Design & Manufacturing, CAD, CAE, CAM, VLSI, Electronics, Embedded Systems, Robotics, and Mechatronics at various levels such as Certification, Postgraduate, Post Diploma, Diploma, M.Tech and M.E.

Admissions 2022

Central Institute of Tool Design, Balanagar, Hyderabad has announced admissions 2022 into Diploma in Tool, Die & Mould Making (DTDM), Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (DECE), Diploma in Automation & Robotics Engineering (DARE) and Diploma in Production Engineering (DPE).
  • Diploma in Tool, Die & Mould Making (DTDM): No. of Seats available are 60, Course Fee will be Rs. 20,000 per semester and the duration of the course is 4 Years (8 Semesters).
  • Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (DECE): No. of Seats available are 60, Course Fee will be Rs. 20,000 per semester and the duration of the course is 3Years (6 Semesters)
  • Diploma in Automation & Robotics Engineering (DARE): No. of Seats available are 60, Course Fee will be Rs. 20,000 per semester and the duration of the course is 3 Years (6 Semesters)
  • Diploma in Production Engineering (DPE) : No. of Seats available are 60, Course Fee will be Rs. 20,000 per semester and duration of the course is 3 Years (6 Semesters) .


Eligibility Criteria

Candidates have to fulfil the following eligibility criteria for admission into Diploma in Tool, Die & Mould Making (DTDM), Diploma in Electronics & Communication Engineering (DECE), Diploma in Automation & Robotics Engineering (DARE) and Diploma in Production Engineering (DPE):
  • DTDM: Candidate who have passed 10th with minimum 50% marks for General Category and 45% marks for SC/ ST Category. The minimum age limit is 15 Years and the Maximum age limit is 19 Years as of 08th May 2022 relaxation up to 5 years is considered in the case of ST/SC Candidates.
  • DECE : Candidates should have passed 10th. The maximum age limit is 19 Years as of 08th May 2022 relaxation up to 5 years is considered in the case of ST/SC Candidates.
  • DARE: Candidate should have passed 10th. The maximum age limit is 19Years as of 08th May 2022 relaxation up to 5 years is considered in the case of ST/SC Candidates.
  • DPE: Candidate should have passed 10th. The maximum age limit is 19Years as of 08th May 2022 relaxation up to 5 years is considered in the case of ST/SC Candidates.

Selection Procedure

Selection is done based on the candidate's performance in the Entrance examination for admission into DTDM, DECE, DARE, and DPE.

Application Procedure

Interested and eligible candidates are requested to apply online through CITD Hyderabad Website from 01st March 2022. The last date for submission of the online applications is 08th May 2022 and the entrance exam will be held on 15th May 2022. The application fee is Rs. 700/- for General Category and Rs. 350/- for SC/ ST candidates. The application fee must be paid online itself including service charges.

Entrance Examination Details:
  1. Entrance Exam Center: Hyderabad
  2. Sylabus: Mathematics, Science, English, Apptitude and General Knowledge of 10th standard.
  3. Duration: 90 minutes (MCQ Based)
  4. Declaration of Result: Merit list of candidates will be displayed on the notice board of the institute as well as on the Website www.citdindia.org. selected candidates have to attend the counseling as per the intimated date through SMS/ E Mail and notification through our website along with the original certificates and prescribed fees etc.
  5. Date of Entrance Exam: 15th May 2022
