The National Institute of Science Education and Research (NISER) is an autonomous public research institute established in the year 2006 at Bhubaneswar, Orissa. The institute is under the Department of Atomic Energy, Govt. of India and is affiliated to Homi Bhabha National Institute,Mumbai, a deemed university. It offers B. Sc, M. Sc. and doctoral program in different disciplines. The Center for Medical and Radiation Physics, NISER has invited online applications from motivated undergraduate students for admission to the M.Sc. program in Medical and Radiological Physics.Duration of the course
The duration of the course is for three years of which 2 years is for the master's program and one year is for a mandatory internship. Intake capacity
The total intake capacity in this course is 10 including the number of students under reserved categories.
Eligibility criteria
How to Apply
The candidates must visit the official website of niser and read the instruction carefully. It is also suggested to check their eligibility before applying. To fill the application form first, the candidate must register themselves on the admission portal of the website. While filling the registration form, the candidate will have to provide a name, Aadhar number, email ID, mobile number etc. Upon successful registration, an email will be received in the inbox with containing registration number, user ID and password. After login using login credentials, fill the online application form. Application complete in all respect along with the required documents should be submitted online before the closing date.
Financial Support
Financial assistance will be provided to the students who will get admission in M.sc program. They will receive a stipend Rs 16,000/-pm +HRA and contingency as per DAE rules during master's program. Reservation Policy
Reservation for different categories will be given as per the norms of the Government of India.
Selection procedure
Shortlisting of candidates will be done based on their performance in the qualifying degree and/or National Entrance test. Shortlisting will be based on JAM 2022 / JEST 2022 Mark which will be followed by an interview for the final selection of candidates. All candidates called for Interview will be paid to and from single second sleeper class railway or bus fare by the shortest route from their place of residence to the Institute (both way). They must produce evidence (railway/bus ticket), a copy of their call letter and bank details in support of their claim.
