Chennai Mathematical Institute (CMI), a research institute and college situated in Chennai, India, was set up by Southern Petrochemical Industries Corporation Ltd (SPIC) Science Foundation in 1989. CMI is an autonomous institute recognized by UGC and it offers undergraduate and postgraduate programs in physics, mathematics, and computer science.Courses offered by CMI for 2022-23
The Courses and Eligibility for admission are as follows;
Candidate should have passed 12th standard/10+2 or equivalent examination from a recognized board.
Candidate should have passed B.A., B.Sc, B.Math, B.Stat, B.E or B.Tech, with strong talent in mathematics, from a recognised board
Candidate should have passed B.A., B.Sc, B.Math, B.Stat, B.E or B.Tech, with strong talent in Computer science
Candidate should have passed B.A., B.Sc, B.Math, B.Stat, B.E or B.Tech with mathematics/statistics/computer science from a recognised institution
Candidate should have passed M.Sc. in Mathematics/equivalent or Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Science from a recognised institution
Candidate should have passed B.E., B.Tech., M.Sc or M.C.A. or Bachelor's degree in Science from a recognised board
Candidate should have passed M.Sc. degree in Physics or equivalentSelection:
For all the above courses except Ph.D. in Physics, the selection will be based on the Entrance test which will conduct on 22.05.2022 at various centers listed below in this article
For Ph.D. in Physics, the selection will be based on the JEST 2022 performance. There is no separate CMI entrance test for Ph.D. in Physics
For all Ph.D. courses, there will be a personal interview for shortlisted candidates. For all other courses, personal interviews will be there for the shortlisted candidates based on their prior academic records which will be decided by the admission committeeHow to apply
