Knowledge in the field of Metallurgy Engineering and Materials Science is having more importance today as many metals and their compounds with other elements are used in the technology and new technology incubation being attempted by a large number of entrepreneurs across the globe. Metal and metal films and even nano metal particles are being used in the industry in various electronics circuits where semiconductors are used for all sort of computerized manipulations for effective use. The property of metals are enhanced using certain metal impurities which create metal alloys and that is emerging as a useful area in the industry. For the qualified people in this stream there are good job opportunities in the industry. It makes sense to acquire this type of qualification for becoming a professional in the area of Metallurgy Engineering and Materials Science.

To understand the basics of formation of steel, we have to go for an in depth study of the alloying elements such as Tungsten, Copper, Molybdenum, Chromium, Zirconium Nickel etc which enhance the durability of steel. The entire branch of Metallurgical Engineering would be more interesting with the different concepts related to the metallurgical reactions.
Persuasion of Ph.D in this branch would be exciting if taken up from a reputed institution like IIT Indore.
