École Intuit Lab, India has three campuses of École Intuit Lab, the well-known French institute of design, in Mumbai, Kolkata, and Delhi. Visual Communication and Digital Design program

Duration: 4 years.

The Learning Curve: During the first year you will learn the fundamental concepts of art and design, including analytical drawing, illustration & sketching, colour & volume, photography, etc. The second year of the program introduces you to the elements of visual and graphical communication, including web and graphic designs, writing, press cartoons, etc. as well as a short internship at a Print House. In the third year, you will learn how to incorporate creative concepts in design with modules on computer graphics, including 3D designs, advertising, copywriting, packaging, etc. The internship of 4 to 6 months can be taken up in India or abroad, where you work on actual projects for clients as part of a professional team. The fourth and final year involves working on a brand-focused design project.

Game Art and Design program

Duration: 4 years.

The Learning Curve: The first year's curriculum introduces you to the fundamental principles and mechanics of games, with modules on non-digital gaming, illustration, exterior drawing, etc. In the second year will you learn basic tools of Game Art, including 2D and 3D production, environment designing, storytelling, clay sculpture, etc. Before the second semester, you can select a specialization in Characters, Concept Art or Environment Art. Additional specialized classes in the selected field are also scheduled, with a three-month short internship. In the third year, the faculty will teach you more advanced processes of professional game design, including storyboarding, rigging/animation, UI UX, AI, etc. as well as soft skills that are essential in the industry. There is also an internship of 6 months. A plus point of the final year is to work on your own startup through Incubator sessions and pitch the creative idea to a jury.

An option for students is a fourth-year Degree in the UK. That is, you complete the undergraduate track with a full Bachelor of Arts degree program studying abroad in the UK at Abertay University in Scotland, either pursuing a BA (Hons) Computer Arts or a BA (Hons) Game Design and Production.

Fine Arts program

Duration: 4 years.

The Learning Curve: In the first year, you will study the basics of drawing, and concepts of visual representation, including outdoor sketching, analytical drawing, illustration, communication, etc. During the second year, you will explore the art styles and movements, as well as look at art from the perspective of it as a tool of messaging. Modules include the history of Art, landscapes, etc and there will be a summer internship of two to three months at a studio, museum, or gallery. The third year's curriculum covers media specializations (you can select any two), symbolism, visual messaging, etc. The first semester of the final year is a studio internship for four to five months, where you can work with an artist of your choice anywhere in the world. Digital product design program

Duration: 4 years.

The curriculum of the first year gives you knowledge about the fundamental concepts of photography and digital designs, including object drawing, cinematics, etc. In the second year, you move on to the basics of visual and graphical communication, and learn about Typography on the web, as well as study contemporary design case studies, with an internship of one to two months at a Digital Product Design based company. The third year of the program is more advanced, with a focus on aspects like 3D visualization and printing, digital art direction, creating your own framework, etc. This is followed by a long internship of four to six months at a digital design agency or a digital startup or a reputed Digital Product Brand. In the fourth and final year, you will work on a business problem, do the required research, then work on designing and testing, and finally, get an understanding of how to pitch it to investors and industry experts.

Postgraduate program in Advertising, Design, and Digital Communications

Duration: 18 months.

The Learning Curve: In the first semester you will learn the fundamentals of art and design, including graphic design UI/UX, visual expression, marketing, web design, etc. The second semesters further opens up the world of visual and graphical communication, including brand design, digital marketing, social media, etc. In the third semester, you get professional training to work on projects, learn about advertising, advanced motion design, entrepreneurship, etc., and then take up an internship of three to six months in a top agency of design or advertising. You will have a finished portfolio at the end that could help to launch your career in the industry.

Master's program in Advertising, Design, and Digital Communications

Duration: 2 years.

The Learning Curve: The program gives you an in-depth knowledge of the various aspects of design, advertising, and digital communications, including learning about brands and marketing strategies. The learning modules are similar to the PG program mentioned above. There is also an internship of six months. The degree is awarded in collaboration with Techno India University, which is AICTE-approved.

École Intuit Lab India Eligibility requirements

In the case of all undergraduate programs at École Intuit Lab, you are required to have completed Class 12 or higher. It is also essential to have a keen interest in design, combined with a general creative flair.

In the case of a postgraduate program at École Intuit Lab, you need to be a Graduate in any discipline. You are also permitted to pursue a PG program through a transfer from any other design program.

École Intuit Lab India Admission process

The application procedure for admission is the same for all programs. You have to fill in the online application form at the École Intuit Lab, India official website, and scan and upload the required documents, namely, high school and Graduation mark sheets, as well as proof of address.
