Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) is an ISO Certified premier institute under the Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals, Ministry of Chemicals & Fertilizers, Government of India. It was established in the year 1968 with the objective to develop human resources for the development and benefits of plastics and allied industries. CIPET has 45 centers which are located all over India, all these centers are equipped with state-of-the-art technical infrastructure in the areas of CAD/ CAM/ CAE, Design, Tooling, plastics processing, testing, and quality assurance. Eligibility criteria
DPMT, DPT
Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to get admission to the Diploma in Plastics Mould Technology (DPMT) and Diploma in Plastics Technology (DPT) courses in CIPET:
PD-PMD with CAD/ CAM
Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to get admission to the Post Diploma in Plastics Mould Design with CAD/ CAM course in CIPET:
PGD-PPT
Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to get admission to the Post-Graduate Diploma in Plastics Processing & Testing (PGD-PPT) course in CIPET:Selection procedure
Selection of candidates for admission will be done based on their performance in the CIPET Admission test (CAT) 2022, which will be conducted on 19th June 2022. CAT is a computer-based test (CBT) conducted by CIPET, which consists of 100 multiple-choice questions. The duration of CBT is 1 hour. The syllabus for CBT is as per entry qualification and General knowledge. CBT will be conducted at test centers in different cities. The selected candidates have to submit the original certificates of qualification, date of birth, community, and reservation quota certificates, if applicable, at the time of admission for verification.

Interested and eligible candidates are requested to apply online at the official website. Candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs. 500/- (for General/ OBC/ Others), Rs. 250/- (for SC/ST) and Rs. 100/- (for candidates from North Eastern Region) through Net banking/ Debit card/ Credit card/ Wallet/ UPI.
