Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee International Institute of Information Technology, Naya Raipur is a joint initiative of the Chhattisgarh State Government and the National Thermal Power Corporation
(NTPC). The college offers various undergraduate, post-graduate and doctoral programs like B.Tech, M.Tech, and Ph.D. Also, for the students, it provides excellent amenities for sports and other activities and facilities like hostel, canteen, sports, gym, e-class room, amphitheater, auditorium, etc.

Admissions 2022


International Institute of Information Technology (IIITNR), Naya Raipur has announced admissions for the session 2022-23 to the following M.Tech programs.

  • M.Tech Computer Science & Engineering
  • M.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering
There are 3 different categories through which candidates are admitted to these M.Tech courses:

  • All India Category (16 seats)
  • NTPC Category (6 seats)
  • Chhattisgarh state Category (20 seats)
Eligible candidates admitted to M.Tech program will will receive a monthly scholarship of Rs.12, 400/- as per the AICTE norms.



Eligibility criteria


M.Tech Computer Science Engineeering
Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to get admission to the M. Tech Computer Science & Engineering course at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIITNR).

  • A minimum of 60% of marks in Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and Engineering or Technology or its equivalent qualification/ M.Sc. (Computer Science/Information Technology) / A graduate degree from Institution of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers (IETE) in Computer Science & Engineering / MCA from a recognized Institution. A valid GATE score in CS.
    • (or)
  • M.Sc. (Mathematics/Mathematics & Computing/Statistics) or equivalent qualification with a minimum of 60% of marks. A valid GATE score in CS/ MA/ ST.
M.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering
Candidates have to fulfill the following eligibility criteria to get admission to the M.Tech Electronics & Communication Engineering course at the International Institute of Information Technology (IIITNR).

  • A minimum of 60% of marks in Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering/ Graduate degree from IETE in Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering or equivalent. Candidates should have a valid GATE score in EC/EE/IN/BM/XE-C/PH.
    • (or)
  • M.Sc. (Electronics/Physics) or equivalent qualification from a recognized institute with a minimum of 60% of marks. A valid GATE score in EC/EE/IN/BM/XE-C/PH.

Selection procedure


Selection of candidates for admission to the M.Tech course is done purely based on GATE score. A first merit list will be prepared and displayed on the institute's website based on GATE scores by 15th July 2022. Candidates have to attend the first round of admission between 15th July to 27th July 2022. The second merit list will be released on 29th July 2022.

Application Process


Interested and eligible candidates are requested to apply online at the institute's official website. Candidates need to pay the application fee of Rs. 300/-( for SC/ ST/ PwD category) and Rs. 500/-( for others) online. The last date for submission of online applications is 11th July 2022.

List of documents
Below are the list of documents to be uploaded while filling the online application form:

  • 10th pass marksheet.
  • 12th pass marksheet.
  • Qualifying degree/transcript/course completion /provisional certificate/Pass certificate.
  • Valid GATE Score Card.
  • Caste certificate if applicable.
  • FF/PWD certificate if applicable.
  • Ward of NTPC employee certificate if applicable.




Fee structure
The fee details for the M.Tech course during the academic year 2022-23 are as follows:

  • Caution money (Refundable): Rs. 12,000/-
  • One time fee includes admission fee, library fee etc.: Rs. 7,450/-
  • Tution fee per semester: Rs. 60,000/-
  • Other fee per semester includes examination fee, medical insurance etc.: Rs. 5,350/-
  • Hostel fees per semester: Rs. 25,600/-
  • Grand total fees for 1st semester: RS. 1,10,400/-
  • Grand total fees for 2nd Semester onwards: Rs. 909,50/-

  • Application submission start (For CG and NTPC Quota): 23rd May 2022
  • Last date of application submission: 11th July 2022
  • Announcement of First Round Selection list: 15th July 2022
  • Payment of Admission Fee, Document Verification, specifying willingness for First Round: 15th to 27th July 2022
  • Announcement of Second Round Selection list : 29th July 2022
  • Payment of Admission Fee, Document verification, specifying willingness for Second Round: 29th July to 8th August 2022
