N.I.T. Surathkal

N.I.T. Surathkal, formerly known as Karnataka Regional Engineering College, was founded in 2002. (KREC). It is one of India's thirty-two National Institutes of Technology, and the Government of India has designated it as an Institute of National Importance. Its NIRF rating is 10th overall. Admission to this college is through JEE Mains and GATE for U.G. and P.G. courses.

Visvesvaraya Technological University

It is a collegiate public state university established by the Government of Karnataka in Belagavi, Karnataka. It is ranked 49th in the NIRF for 2022. In that order, admission to U.G. courses is based on JEE Main, KCET, and NATA scores. As the KCET result are expected to be announced soon, the university will release its KCET cut-off list for aspiring students.

Manipal Institute of Technology, Manipal

Manipal Institute of Technology is an engineering-focused private constituent institution of the Manipal Academy of Higher Education. M.I.T. offers undergraduate, graduate, and postgraduate degrees through 17 academic departments. It's NIRF banking for 2022 is 55th in the engineering category. Manipal Institute conducts its entrance exam.

Ramaiah Institute of Technology (R.I.T.)

Formerly M.S. Ramaiah Institute of Technology (MSRIT) is an autonomous private engineering college in Bangalore, Karnataka, India. The college was founded in 1962 and is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University. Students can get admission to this college by clearing COMEDK or KCET cut-off list released by the college. Its NIRF ranking is 67th. R.I.T. does not accept JEE mains scores.

IIIT Bangalore - International Institute of Information Technology

It is an Indian research university in Bangalore. The institute is a registered not-for-profit society supported by the Karnataka government and the I.T. industry through a public-private partnership model. Its NIRF ranking for 2022 is 81st.

B.M.S. College of Engineering

It is a private engineering college in the Bangalore suburb of Basavanagudi. Bhusanayana Mukundadas Sreenivasaiah founded it in 1946, and the B.M.S. Educational Trust now runs it. It is affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University and was granted autonomous status in 2008. Its NIRF ranking for 2022 is 83rd.

R.V. College of Engineering

RVCE, founded in 1963, has 13 engineering departments, one architecture school, and a Master of Computer Applications department. It is affiliated with Belgaum's Visvesvaraya Technological University. The university grants academic autonomy to undergraduate courses. It is in the 89th position in the NIRF ranking for 2022.

Siddaganga Institute of Technology

Siddaganga Institute of Technology is ranked 97 among engineering colleges by the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) in 2022. It is one of the premier institutes of Karnataka.

P.E.S. University

P.E.S. University is one of three private universities in Bengaluru, India. It was established in 2013 as a state-private university. It was founded in 1988 and focuses on five primary educational areas: engineering, management, law, and life sciences. The institution provides foundation courses and specializations with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree. NIRF ranked it at 100 for 2022 among engineering colleges in the country.

The author has taken pain in writing this article providing the detailed information why the colleges as indicated by him is so different in respect of their quality of education. NIRF is the essential criteria to know its ranking in respect of the absorption of the aspirants in the different industries and less is the number, the better would be its ranking. The aspirants must judge the colleges in those perspectives.
