DAIS admissions 2023 Eligibility Requirements

Parents are advised to check that their wards fulfill the required eligibility criteria before applying for admissions to DAIS Mumbai. Here's the information for quick reference-
For admission to LKG class: The child's date of birth should be between 1st January 2019 and 31st December 2019 (both days inclusive).

For admission to Class VIII ICSE and Class VIII IGCSE: The student should have successfully completed Class VII and should have been promoted to Class VIII from a recognized school, before joining DAIS.

For admission to Class XI IB Diploma: The student should have successfully completed Class X from a recognized Secondary Education Board before joining DAIS.



Schedule of DAIS Information Sessions for Parents

Other than for LKG, prior to applying for admission to the school, parents who have registered on the online admission portal will be invited to attend information sessions. These sessions will be held online mode only, and the relevant details will be intimated later to parents on their registered email ID and mobile number.

The schedule is as follows-
For ICSE Class VIII: 23rd September 2022 (Friday) from 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
For IGCSE Class VIII: 23rd September 2022 (Friday) from4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.
For IBDP Class XI: 22 September 2022 (Thursday) 4.30 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Online application procedure for DAIS admissions 2023-24

Parents should register and submit applications for admission in online mode only at the Dhirubhai Ambani International School Mumbai admissions website. They can use the same login ID to fill up an application for siblings. It is advisable to use a laptop or desktop, although the application procedure can also be done through a smartphone. The registration and applications should be done on Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox, or Internet Explorer (IE10 or above) browsers.

Dhirubhai Ambani International School Admission Registration fee: Rs.5000/-. This is non-refundable, and there may be an additional convenience charge by the Payment gateway. In case parents face any technical errors and see a message of time out or a message of an error on the screen during the online payment, they must immediately inform the DAIS Admissions Office and get further guidance.

The following documents should be scanned for uploading during the online application process-
For admission to LKG class: (i) A self-attested copy of the child's birth certificate. (ii) The school reports for the academic year 2021-22 as well as for the current academic year (2022-22), if available.

For admission to Class VIII (ICSE and IGCSE): (i) A self-attested copy of the child's birth certificate. (ii) Self-attested copies of school reports of the last three academic years as well as of the current academic year (2023-24). (iii) A Personal Statement to be written by the student. This should be on a separate sheet, of a maximum of 500 words, mentioning the student's areas of interest and achievements and stating in what way studying at DAIS would help to achieve his/her goals and aspirations. (iv) All relevant self-attested documents of academic, co-curricular, and sports achievements, if any.

For admission to IDBP Class XI: (i) A self-attested copy of the student's birth certificate. (ii) Self-attested copies of school reports of the last three academic years as well as of the current academic year (2023-24). (iii) A self-attested copy of the certificate/report card/document which is supporting proof of having successfully completed Class X. (iv) Self-attested documents pertaining to achievements in academics or sports or co-curricular activities. (v) A Personal Statement to be written by the student of not more than 500 words, stating the student's academic interests, interests in co-curricular activities, and achievements, and in what way studying at DAIS would help to achieve his/her goals and aspirations while contributing to the life of the schools and broader community.

Important notes:
(i) For admission to Class VIII, the student can opt for either ICSE or for IGCSE, and after submission of the application, the stream cannot be changed.
(ii) The parent/guardian does not require to put in an e-signature in the online application form. It is sufficient to tick the checkbox for the declaration. The signatures of the parents or guardians, as the case may be, will be taken at a later stage.
(iii) In the case of the document to be uploaded, each file should not be more than 5 MB in size and must be uploaded only in PDF, JPG, or JPEG formats. Additionally, each and every page of the document must be self-attested by any parent (any one parent) or by the guardian, as applicable.
(iv) In the case of a photo that is required to be uploaded, it must be a recent color passport photo with a blue or white, or red background in PNG, JPG, or JPEG format, and should be of size 5.5 cm x 4.5 cm. It should clearly show the face with a front view (the eyes should not be closed and the head should be in the center of the frame) and the file size should not exceed 5 MB.
