Maharashtra State Skills University (MSSU), Mumbai is the first Public State University in Maharashtra for the development of skills. It provides skill-based higher education courses that provide employment and entrepreneurship opportunities to the youth. The university has announced admissions open for its two-year Master's programs. Students are advised to check the location (Mumbai or Pune) where the course will be conducted and confirm if these are UGC-recognized courses.
MSSU Mumbai Master's Programs
All the courses are 2-year courses with 20 seats. 40% of the course will be in classroom sessions and 60% on-the-job skill training.
The four programs are-
M.Tech. Cloud Computing and Devops Course modules: Networking and OS administration, Cloud architecture, DevOps, Designing automation framework for IT infrastructure with software tools, etc with an internship in the fourth semester.
M.Tech. Artificial Intelligence Course modules: Stats and Maths for Data Science, Python programs, Advanced Excel, Deep Learning, Big Data, etc.
M.Tech. Cyber Security Course modules: Cloud basics and platform operations, Security fundamentals and operations, hacking and countermeasures, Network security and cryptography, Digital forensics, Cyber laws, etc.
M.Tech. Business Analytics Course modules: Data Management, Advanced Excel, Digital and social media marketing, SEO techniques, IT Business Analysis, etc.Eligibility requirements
You should be an engineering graduate with B.E. or B.Tech. from an AICTE-recognized institute. Sponsored candidates are required to submit a letter of employment on sponsorship, while non-sponsored candidates can submit a letter from the employer to join.Course fees
The two-year fee is 2.12 lakhs and is to be paid in two installments, with Rs. 1.06 lakh in year 1 and year 2. Application procedure
Given here are the guidelines on obtaining and submitting the application form through the official website of MSSU.
First, fill up the online entry form for admission. On successful submission, take a printout of the form that you will receive at your email ID, and sign it. Then pay the form fee of Rs. 1200/- to the University Bank Account by NEFT/ Bank Transfer (the account details are provided on the website). Lastly, send the printed signed application form along with the receipt of the Bank Transfer as well as the requisite documents by email to contact@mssu.ac.in.
On receipt of the application, the Admissions Official of the university will verify it and inform you via email of the approval if the application is accepted. An online Proctored Entrance Test will subsequently be conducted for all courses to be eligible for admission. Details of this Test will be published on the official website and a list of selected students based on merit as per the Test scores will be displayed on the university website.
Important dates
Start of online applications: 1st October 2022.
Closing date of online applications: 15th October 2022, up to 11.59 p.m.
Commencement of courses: 1st November 2022.
