University of Kalyani for Open and Distance Learning M.A., M.Sc. programs admissions 2022-23

The goal of the Directorate of Open & Distance Learning (DODL) established by the University of Kalyani is to provide the opportunity to them who want to study higher education but unable to pursue the regular full-time formal programs in an academic institute. There is neither any age bar for admission to those higher education courses nor the address of the candidates is important being a distance course as such any working persons or candidates belonging to remote areas may pursue the courses.

However, the Directorate of Open & Distance Learning (DODL), University of Kalyani has presently issued a notification for admission into various UGC-DEB approved 2 years Choice Based Credit System based Post Graduate MA / M.Sc. programs.



Students willing to pursue MA programs may be admitted in either the main campus (HO) of University of Kalyani or any of its following study centers under Nadia and Murshidabad districts:

Eligibility criteria

• For Sl. No. 1 – 4: Honors / Special Honors with concerned subject
  Or,
  General / Pass Graduate (10+2+3) with a total of minimum 300 marks carrying qualifying marks in the concerned subject
  Or,
  General Graduate (10+2+2) with 1 year bridge course in the concerned subject
• For Sl. No. 5 – 8: Honors / Special Honors with concerned subject, however, honors candidates will get preference
  Or,
  General / Pass Graduate (10+2+3) with a total of minimum 300 marks carrying qualifying marks in the concerned subject, however, General / Pass Graduate candidates will be preferred only after admission of Honors candidates

• Candidate who has MA degree with a subject will be eligible to take admission in MA program with any other subject except Education offered through Distance Education Mode irrespective of the concerned subject was offered in degree course
• Above point is not applicable for those who has MA degree with a professional subject such as Music, Film Studies, Drama, Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) and General Education
• In addition to the eligibility criteria mentioned above, Graduate candidates with B.Ed. or equivalent degree are eligible for the admission to MA degree in Education

• MA in Bengali: Rs 5250 for 1st year & Rs. 5050 for 2nd year
• MA in English: Rs 5250 for 1st year & Rs. 5050 for 2nd year
• MA in History: Rs 5250 for 1st year & Rs. 5050 for 2nd year
• MA in Education: Rs 5250 for 1st year & Rs. 5050 for 2nd year
• M.Sc in Zoology: Rs 20050 for 1st year & Rs. 20500 for 2nd year
• M.Sc. in Botany: Rs 20050 for 1st year & Rs. 20500 for 2nd year
• M.Sc. in Geography: Rs 20050 for 1st year & Rs. 20500 for 2nd year
• M.Sc. in Mathematics: Rs 8250 for 1st year & Rs. 8050 for 2nd year
