Eligibility requirements
A merit list is prepared on the basis of the scores in the Class X CBSE exam, with the following eligibility criteria to be fulfilled by those applying for the scholarship-
Scholarship duration and Renewal
The scholarship that has been awarded to the girl child can be renewed for the next year, as well, that is, on successfully completing Class XI. However, it is essential to secure an aggregate of 50% or more in the qualifying exam that promotes her to the next class. Note that she should have received the CBSE Single Girl Child Merit Scholarship last year to be eligible to apply for renewal. In case she decides to opt out of the course that she is studying in and switches the course of study or if she leaves the school to study in another school, then the renewal/continuation of the school will be subject to the prior approval of CBSE. It is also imperative that the student maintains a good attendance record, is disciplined, and shows good behavior for the scholarship to be continued. Once the CBSE takes the decision to cancel the scholarship, it will not be reviewed again.
The requirement of the maximum permitted tuition fee is the same as when applying in the earlier year, namely, that the Class X tuition fee should not exceed Rs. 1,500/- per month during the academic year, and in the subsequent two years the total enhancement of tuition fee shall not be more than 10% of the tuition fee.CBSE Single Girl Child Scholarship Application Procedure
