Free UPSC, MPSC coaching with stipend for Maharashtra ST candidates - TRTI 2023 admissions

Tribal Research and Training Institute (TRTI), Pune invites applications from candidates of scheduled tribes to apply for the training scheme at various universities in Maharashtra that will help them to prepare for the Civil Services exam which is conducted by the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC)/Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC). Admission will be only through a Common Entrance Test (CET) to be conducted at the State level. Those selected for the training based on the CET marks will be provided accommodation and access to computer facilities, including Internet access, and library facilities. 75% attendance is mandatory for the duration of the program.
About the Training Program
Number of seats: 25 candidates will be selected for the training program at each of the nine universities, and 10 candidates at the Yashwantrao Chavan Academy of Development Administration (YASHADA) in Pune. Reservation of seats for women, PWD candidates, and orphans is as per the norms.
Duration: At all the centres, the duration of the program is 11 months.
Stipend: Each student will get a monthly stipend of Rs. 6000/- which includes accommodation and meals. Additionally, each student will receive a one-time payment of Rs. 6000/- to purchase books. Candidates will be required to pay for expenses for other things, such as stationery, Test series, etc.
Universities: The 9 Universities are-Eligibility requirements
To be eligible to apply for the training program, you should be a Scheduled Tribe candidate who is domiciled in the State of Maharashtra for at least five years. ST candidates from other States are not eligible to apply. The annual family income should not be over Rs. 8 lakh.
Important: Candidates should get permission from their university for taking p this training program, and those who are in the medical stream should have completed their internship before applying for the TRTI training program. Candidates are not permitted to take up any type of job or pursue other training programs for the duration of the TRTI program.Application procedure
Register and fill in the online application form at the TRTI Pune official website with a valid email ID and mobile phone number as these will be used for sending you communications, such as instructions, notifications, selection process, etc.
Scan all the original documents that will be required for the application, each document to be in 200-300KB size and in JPG or JPEG format. The photograph and signature should also be in JPG or JPEG format only, within 80-100KB size. Documents that are required include the ST certificate, Class 10 and Class 12 mark sheets, Domicile certificate, Aadhar Card, etc (please refer to the instructions given at the official website).
Important notes: It is mandatory to provide the Aadhar Card number in the online application form. Secondly, the name which you enter in your online application form must exactly match the name that appears on the Class 10 mark sheet. If there is any difference in the name given in the form and in documents that are submitted later for verification when appearing for the exam/interview, then you will not be allowed to appear for the exam/interview. Thirdly, check the official notification to know the documents required to be produced at the test center/later verification process as applicable. Finally, ensure that if you are selected, you accept the seat within the time frame given once the test result is declared and the merit list of candidates is issued.
Training Program Common Entrance Test Format
The Common Entrance Test (CET) is a Computer-based Test (CBT) of 2 hours duration (an extra 40 minutes will be allotted for handicapped candidates). There will be 100 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) on General Studies with a total of 100 marks, and no negative marking will be given for incorrect answers. The questions will be in English and Marathi.
The syllabus of the CET will cover (i)) current important events at the State, national and international levels, (ii) the history of India, with special reference to Maharashtra, and the Indian National Movement, (iii) Maharashtra, India and world geography, (iv) polity and governance, (v) general issues of the environment, and (vi) general science. There will also be questions to test your logical reasoning and analytical abilities, general mental abilities, reading comprehension, basic numeracy, and the ability to interpret data that is given in charts, graphs, etc.Important dates

The online registration for applications closes on 2nd January 2023 up to 11.59 p.m.
