About the college St. Joseph's Institute of Management (SJIM) located in Bengaluru, is one of the first business colleges in the state of Karnataka. Established in the year 1968, the college was earlier known by its erstwhile name 'St Joseph's College of Business Administration'. Its origin, however, dates back to 1885, when St. Joseph's European High School was first opened in Bangalore by the Paris Foreign Mission Fathers. Until the year 1995, SJIM was offering one-year evening management courses. It was in 1996 that the college got approval from the AICTE and since then offering its flagship two-year full-time Post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) program. It was in the year 2016 that the institute got its name changed to St. Joseph's Institute of Management. The college has now shifted to its new location at Primrose road off M.G. Road in the heart of the city.
