About RGIPT
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology Jais, Amethi, Uttar Pradesh is an Institute of National Importance established under an Act of Parliament which is set up by the Ministry of petroleum and natural gas, Government of India. This institute offers various programs at Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctoral levels programs such as B.Tech, M.Tech, MBA, and Ph.D. in various disciplines.
Admission 2023
Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Petroleum Technology has announced admissions into MBA and MBA (Business Analytics). Department of Management Studies offers two separate 2-year full-time programs MBA and MBA (Business Analytics).
MBA: Energy, Marketing, Finance, HR, and Operations are the electives in this program.
MBA (Business Analytics): This is a multi-disciplinary program that has learning modules on analytical tools, techniques, and methodologies.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who are interested to apply for admission need to fulfil the following eligibility criteria: For MBA:
Candidates with a valid score on any of the examinations of Common Admission Test (CAT-2022)/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ MAT must hold a minimum of 60% in the 10th standard and 55% for ST/SC/PwD, and in 12th standard minimum 60% and in case of SC/ST/PwD 55% of marks is considered, and bachelor's degree from recognized Institute /University with minimum 60% marks and in case of SC/ST/PwD 55% marks considered.
Candidates without a valid score on any of the examinations of Common Admission Test (CAT-2022)/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ MAT must hold a minimum of 65% in the 10th standard and 60% for ST/SC/PwD, and in the 12th standard minimum 65% and in case of SC/ST/PwD 60% of marks are considered, and Bachelor's Degree from recognized Institute /University with minimum 65% marks and in case of SC/ST/PwD 60% marks considered.
For MBA(Business Analytics):
Candidates with a valid score on any of the examinations of Common Admission Test (CAT-2022)/ XAT/ CMAT/ GMAT/ MAT must hold a minimum of 60% in the 10th standard and 55% for ST/SC/PwD, And in the 12th standard minimum 60% and in case of SC/ST/PwD 55% of marks is considered, and Bachelor's Degree in any branch of Engineering/ Technology or a Bachelor's degree in disciplines such as B.Sc./B.Com./ BCA/ B.A.(Mathematics/ Statistics) from a recognized Institute /University with a minimum of 60% marks and in the case of SC/ST/PwD 55% marks are considered.

Candidates appearing for the final year examination of the program are also eligible to apply and they must produce a certificate from the authority of the university/ institute.
Sponsored candidates should have worked full-time continuously for at least two years in the sponsoring organization at the time of applying for admission.
The Institute offers professionally employed persons the to pursue the MBA program under the part-time category while continuing the duties of his/her service provided the sponsoring institution/organization is located within a distance of 50 km from the Institute.
Application Procedure
Eligible candidates should apply Online for admission to MBA through the RGIPT website. A non-refundable application fee of Rs.400/- for General and Rs. 200/- for ST/ SC Candidates is to be paid online by applicants. Candidates need to do registration through their Email id and Phone number. Candidates needed to take printouts of the submitted application form including the payment made through the payment gateway for further reference. Incomplete application forms and forms received after the due date will not be considered for the admission process. The last date for submission of the application is 3rd April 2023.
Selection procedure
Selection for admission in both the programs (MBA & MBA in Business Analytics will be based on the weightage of qualifying exams, academic performance, personal interview, and work experience. Details of shortlisted and waitlisted candidates will be available on the RGIPT website on the given date. And selected candidates are required to make payment of fees and if anyone fails to deposit the required fee within the stipulated time period then their offer stands withdrawn. The final list of admitted candidates will be uploaded on the RGIPT website before the commencement of the program. If at any stage the information provided by a candidate is found to be wrong then their candidature shall be cancelled.

Last date for Submission of Online Application: 3rd April 2023.
Display of Shortlisted candidates for Personal Interviews on Website: 5th April 2023.
Date of Online Personal Interview: 11th and 12th April 2023.
Declaration of Result: 14th April 2023.
Last Date for Fee Submission: 21st April 2023.
Commencement of classes: 01 August 2023.
