About IIM Lucknow
Indian Institute of Management Lucknow, popularly christened as IIM L, is a premier business school in India. Located in the capital city of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh, the institute, along with other top IIMs, has been at the forefront of management education in the country. An 'Institution of Excellence', as notified by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Govt. of India, it was established in the year 1984. It is the fourth IIM to be set up in the country after the top three at Kolkata, Ahmedabad and Bengaluru respectively. The institute offers a number of postgraduate programs apart from fellowship and executive programs in management. The MBA - Entrepreneurship, and Innovation is a newly launched program to address the ever-growing needs of gaining entrepreneurship skill sets amongst today's tech-savvy generation. Every engineering college or business school these days has an entrepreneurship cell to give wings to the entrepreneurial spirit of their students. IIM Lucknow has a satellite campus at Noida, which like its parent has the best infrastructure and residential facilities for its students and faculty.
About the program MBA-E&I
Master of Business Administration - Entrepreneurship and Innovation is a unique program launched by IIM Lucknow. It addresses the needs of potential entrepreneurs who are keen on gaining skills and knowledge in the field and opening their own startup or business venture. Through this program, the participants gain much-needed industry exposure that provides them with hands-on experience in running a venture.
MBA-E&I is a 16-month-long program that is divided into 5 terms or modules. It is a residential program, where after your 16 months of stay at IIM Lucknow you graduate as an entrepreneur. This program is exclusively for those who have the sole aim of setting up or managing their own venture. It is definitely not for those who will be looking for a job or a placement after the program. The curriculum of The MBA (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) program has a two-pronged structure. Half of the learning comes from various multidisciplinary courses that are imparted by ace educators and industry experts. The rest half of the learning is through industry exposure, one-to-one mentorship with alumni entrepreneurs, workshops and experiential learning - a concept where you learn by experience or 'learning through reflection on doing'. During the program, the participants get access to the institute's incubators, where they test their ideas and convert them into a feasible business plan. They also get opportunities for internships with venture capitalists and entrepreneurs and thus gain practical experience. By the end of the program, every participant will be in a position to raise funds from the market and launch their own venture.Program fees

Following are the essential criteria to be fulfilled for applying for the MBA-E&I program at IIM Lucknow.Seat reservations
The seat reservations are as per the Government of India directives. The breakdown of the reservations for the different categories of students are as follows - 15% for Scheduled Caste (SC), 7% for Scheduled Tribe (ST), 27% for Other Backward Classes non-creamy layer (OBC-NCL), 10% for Economically Weaker Section (EWS) and 5% horizontal reservations in all categories for Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBDs). Selection process
The candidates will be initially shortlisted for personal interview (PI) based on their CAT/GMAT scores. The cut-off for the various categories will be different. The details of the cut-off are given on the course admission page on the IIM Lucknow website. Personal interviews will be held at four locations in India. They are Lucknow, Bengaluru, Mumbai, and Noida. The final merit list of the selected candidates will be formed based on two factors - Business Plan and Interview. The candidates before the interview have to present a business plan of at most 5 minutes in duration. The business plan has a weightage of 40%, whereas the interview that follows has a 60% weightage. How to apply
The application process for the MBA (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) is entirely online. Candidates need to first register at the IIM Lucknow official website and then submit the online application form by filling up all the necessary details and paying the application fee of INR 1,000. The applicants need to have a valid email ID and mobile number for receiving the login credentials and the confirmation email after the successful submission of the application form. While filling up the application form, the applicants will have to submit details such as personal details, CAT /GMAT score, interview city preferences, academic qualifications, work experience (if any), and details of extra-curricular activities if any. They will also have to upload a self-photograph, relevant documents, and the application fee receipt.
