BHU launches International Visiting Program for Ph.D. students

International Visiting Programme

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has launched an international visiting program for Ph.D. students. According to this program, the researchers of Barnaras Hindu University (BHU) get an opportunity to visit a reputed international institute for their research. They will research there for one semester. For this program, the selected students will stay for almost 6 months in any one institute out of the top 500 institutes of the world.

The main aim of the program

The main aim of the international visiting program is as follows-
  • To increase networking

  • Facilitating collaborative research

  • Strengthen institutional relationships

  • To develop practical, theoretical and professional skills

Eligibility

The candidates for the international visiting program must complete the following two conditions:
  • They should complete PhD with 8 or more CGPA

  • Must publish two articles on their subject in a reputed international journal

Fellowship Program

Banaras Hindu University (BHU) will provide a fellowship for researchers. The researchers will get 1,46,479/- INR ( One lakh forty-six thousand four hundred seventy-nine rupees) per month as a fellowship. The candidate will also receive a return ticket in economy class, visa fees, and health insurance if necessary. The candidate will also get 49,539 INR (Forty thousand five hundred thirty-nine rupees) travel allowance to visit the other institutes for research purposes.

How to Apply

The eligible candidate must apply to the host institution and submit the permission letter to get the fellowship benefit. After submitting the permission letter from the host institute, they will get all the benefits of the fellowship program.

So, the international visiting program is a great opportunity for a candidate who wants to pursue their research in the top 500 institutes of the world. They will also receive the fellowship. the international visiting program compiles the National education policy 2020.
