National Power Training Institute (NPTI) is offering a two-year MBA course for Graduate Engineers with specialization in three fields, namely, Power Management and Sustainability, Data Science & Data analytics, and Cyber Security & Cloud.About NPTI
National Power Training Institute (NPTI) is under the aegis of the Ministry of Power, Govt. of India. There are a total of 11 institutes across India (refer to the list at the end of this article), offering professional training programs in the renewable energy and power sector. In addition to formal classroom sessions, you will get the opportunity to work on case studies, have interactive group discussions, attend hands-on practical training sessions, work on simulation techniques, go on field trips, take up an internship, etc. The campuses of NPTI are having modern infrastructure, including lecture rooms, conference halls, hi-tech labs, libraries, hostel accommodation with mess, libraries, sports facilities, etc.
About NPTI MBA course
The MBA program is a two-year (four semesters) AICTE-approved course affiliated with JC Bose University of Science and Technology, Faridabad. There are 120 seats with reservation of seats as per Govt. of India norms, and 15 seats are reserved for sponsored candidates. The course combines general management with specialized topics related to the power sector, with the curriculum covering the gamut of myriad operational aspects, such as solar and wind energy, information technology, distribution utilities, finance, etc.
In the first year of the MBA program, you learn detailed aspects of HR, finance, marketing, business management, and power. You must take up a summer vacation training of 8 weeks at the end of the first year. In the second year, you have to pursue core courses with elective courses in a specific specialization- Power Management & Sustainability, Data Science & Data Analytics, Cyber Security & Cloud. A major project is taken up in the final semester. Evaluation is done through assignments, teamwork, surprise quiz tests, and mid-term and term-end exams.
The MBA program will equip you with relevant industry-oriented specialized skills to make you ready to take up employment opportunities in government organizations, Public Sector Undertakings, private firms, etc.NPTI MBA Course Fee For non-sponsored candidates, the fee is Rs.2,00,000 per semester. Eligibility requirements
Educational Qualification: You should have a B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) Degree in any branch of engineering or qualified any other exam that is recognized as equivalent by the J.C Bose university.
Management Score: You must have a valid CAT or MAT or XAT or CMAT score. Note that this is not a requirement for sponsored candidates.
You are also eligible to apply for the MBA program if you are appearing in the final year/semester exam, but in such a case, you should be able to submit the result at the time of the counselling round.NPTI MBA admissions application procedure
Applications for admission to the NPTI MBA program will be accepted only through filling up a Google Form, the link to which is provided in the information brochure at the NPTI official website . There is a registration fee of Rs. 500/- (including GST) which should be paid online through State Bank Collect only. Other modes of payment will not be accepted. NPTI MBA Key dates
The last date to submit the online application form is 7th April 2023.
The list of candidates shortlisted for the Group Discussion (GD), and Personal Interview (PI) will be displayed on the official website on 19th April 2023.
The Group Discussion and Personal Interview will be conducted on 24th and 25th April 2023.
The list of candidates shortlisted for Counselling will be displayed on the official website on 2nd May 2023.
The first Counselling session is scheduled for the 8th and 9th of May 2023.
