The Leelabai Thackersey College of Nursing, SNDT Women's University has released the admission notification for the Bachelor of Science (Nursing) program for the academic year 2023-24. Duration: 4 years.
Number of seats: 50.
Selection basis: Candidates will be selected only on the basis of a merit list that will be drawn up as per the scores in the college entrance exam, with seats for reserved category candidates as per the norms of the State Government of Maharashtra. English is the medium of instruction for the entire duration of the course.
B.Sc. Nursing Course fee: The approximate annual fee is Rs.45,000/- for Open Category candidates, and Rs.5,000/- for reserved-category candidates. Note that students who are residing beyond the city limits of Mumbai can apply for hostel accommodation, for which the fee is extra.
B.Sc. Nursing Eligibility Requirements
Age criteria: Completed 17 years on or before 31st December 2022.
Educational Qualification: 10+2 Science, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology, and passed in English as well. The minimum aggregate marks required for SC, ST, NT-DT, SBC, and OBC candidates is 45%. If you are waiting for your Class 12 exam result, then also you can apply for admission.
Fitness: Candidates may be required to produce a medical fitness certificate on getting admission to the course.B.Sc. Nursing Application procedure
Candidates keen to apply for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course can obtain the application form and prospectus at the college office.
Application form and prospectus fee: Rs. 800/- for open category candidates, and Rs. 400/- for reservation category candidates of Maharashtra State. Note that the relevant Caste Certificate of Maharashtra is mandatory for admission for document verification.
The completed application form should be submitted along with the following original certificates together with attested copies-
Additional notes: In the case of a student who has migrated from another statutory University or Board, it is required to have taken English as a subject at the Class 12 level, with any one vocational subject carrying 200 marks, and any three subjects carrying 100 marks each. The student needs to submit (i) the passing certificate of the last exam; (ii) the mark sheet clearly showing the marks that have been obtained under each subject; and (iii) the Migration certificate from the University Board.
In the case of a student who has secured admission to the Leelabai Thackersey College of Nursing after attending any college conducted by or affiliated with S.N.D.T. Women's University, only a Transfer Certificate will be required.
Important dates
The application form for admission to the B.Sc. Nursing course will be available at the college office from 15th May 2023 onwards, until 10 days after the declaration of the H.S.C. exam results.
