Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU), Pune, Maharashtra has issued the notification for admission to Postgraduate programs for the academic year 2023-24. You are required to appear for the Online Entrance Exam (OEE) and admissions will be given based on merit as per the scores of this exam. The exam will be conducted at various centres across India.About SPPU
Established in 1949, Savitribai Phule Pune University (earlier the erstwhile University of Poona), known as the Oxford of the East, has over 40 departments, with more than 600 affiliated colleges and numerous research institutes. The spacious campus has the splendid main building housing the administrative offices and which is a historical architectural marvel, the well-known Jaykar Library with books, journals, periodicals, and ancient Indian texts, a cafeteria providing inexpensive meals, sports and recreational facilities, a health centre, a Students Facilitation Center to help students get relevant documents and certificates, etc. There are a sufficient number of hostels on campus for boys and girls, but no hostel accommodation is provided on the campus for students enrolling for a part-time course. Local bus service is available to commute between the university and major points of Pune city.

For Undergraduate programs, you need to have passed the Higher Secondary School Certificate (10+2) exam with specific subject requirements as per the UG course that you are seeking admission to.
In the case of most of the Postgraduate programs, you need to be a Graduate from a recognized university, with a B.A./B.Sc./B.Com./B.E./B.Tech./BBA/BCA/BMM/BMS, as applicable, while in the case of some of the programs, a Class 12 pass with an additional specialized qualification may be required. Accordingly, since each Department has its own criteria as per the specialization of the course, you need to check the eligibility requirements on the official website of the University. The information can also be obtained at the Registrar's office on the campus.About SPPU Online Entrance Exam
The Online Entrance Examination (OEE) for admission to the UG and PG courses is of two hours, with mostly Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), though there may be a few descriptive-type questions for some of the courses. The exam will have two sections- (i) Section A of 20 marks will have questions related to General knowledge/Aptitude/Logic/Comprehension; (ii) Section B of 80 marks will have subject-specific questions.
SPPU Admissions Application Procedure
Application fee: There is an application fee of Rs.600/- for General Category candidates, and Rs. 400/- for Reserved Category candidates. For submission of applications after the closing date, there is a late fee of Rs.750/- for General Category candidates, and Rs. 550/- for Reserved Category candidates. The application fee has to be paid online during the online application process for admission.

Before doing so, it is advisable to go through the User Manual for the Campus Common Entrance Platform (CCEP) that is available on the university website. A photocopy of the following documents (the PDF document size should be less than 1MB) must be kept ready for uploading during the online application process-

All the above documents are required to be submitted to the respective Department in original only at the time of admission, along with self-attested copies. The admission will be confirmed only after you have submitted all the valid documents as required, and fulfilling all the required eligibility criteria.

The last date of filling in the online application form for all undergraduate courses with the regular fee is 10th June 2023 up to 11.59 p.m.
The last date of filling in the online application form for all undergraduate courses with a late fee is 17th June 2023 up to 11.59 p.m.
PG courses-
The last date of filling in the online application form for all postgraduate courses with the regular fee is 17th June 2023 up to 11.59 p.m.
The last date of filling in the online application form for all postgraduate courses with a late fee is 8th July 2023 up to 11.59 p.m.
Other important dates-
The Admit Card (Hall Ticket) can be downloaded from the official website five days before the online exam. For this, you need to use the same login ID and password that you used while filling in the application form. The Admit Card is mandatory to be shown at the exam centre, otherwise, you will not be allowed to appear for the exam.
