About Nalanda University
To revive the ancient university of Nalanda, the present Nalanda University was set up in 2010 by an Act of the Indian Parliament. Being funded by the government of eighteen countries as Australia, China, South Korea, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, New Zealand, Myanmar, Portugal, Bhutan, Cambodia, Mauritius, Brunel Darussalam, Laos-PDR, and India itself; it is an international university. Nalanda University which is located in the city of Rajgir in the state of Bihar in India is an Institute of National Importance (INI) and Excellence.

Online applications are being asked by the university from the eligible and interested candidates to take admission to any of the below programs. Also, please be noted that students are not allowed to apply for more than two programs.

For Master's programs
or Management or Law or any other discipline from any recognized Indian University with at least 55% marks or a GPA of a minimum of 2.2 on a 4-point scale or equivalent grade if any.MBA in Sustainable Development and Management

Course fees
While Indian candidates should pay Rs. 1,17,000 and Rs. 1,05,000 in the first and second year respectively for the MBA course 2023-25 in Nalanda University, international students should pay US $ 1804 and US $ 1618 for both years respectively. For Master's programs in the academic year 2023-25, Indian applicants should pay Rs. 73,000 and rs. 61,000 in the first and second year respectively. However, international students will pay US $ 1,126 and US $ 940 respectively for both years. For the Doctoral program, students will deposit Rs. 97,000 and Rs. 85,000 in the first and second year respectively whereas for international applicants it is US $ 1,494 and US $ 1,308 respectively.
Candidates should pay all semester-wise fees along with residence and meal charges in advance. A demand draft of the required amount drawn in favor of "Nalanda University", payable at "Rajgir" should be sent to Nalanda University, Chabilapur Road, Rajgir, District Nalanda, Bihar - 803116, India through speed post. The name of the candidate along with the contact number should be written on the back side of the DD. A scanned copy of the same DD should also be sent to admissions2023@nalandauniv.edu.in.
Students may also pay the above fees through NEFT or RTGS. Details of the bank account can be collected from the official website of Nalanda University. Once the payment through NEFT or RTGS is successfully completed, transaction details should be mailed to the above e-mail id.Online applications process
Candidates interested in registration of online applications for admission to Nalanda University should visit https://online.nalandauniv.edu.in/. Write your name, email address, and country in the respective boxes and click on 'Next". A new window will open. Enter your first, middle, and surname in the respective fields matching the Class X/ XII/ School leaving certificate. Fill up the date of birth, contact numbers, address, city, state, country, etc. carefully. In case any field is not related to you, please write "N/A" in that field. Any incomplete application is not accepted. Check all the information furnished in the application form before submission of the application as no change or modification will be allowed once submitted. Your consent against the declaration is mandatory otherwise it will be treated as incomplete. Digital or scanned copies of all supporting documents in pdf format should be uploaded as asked for along with the Statement of purpose (SOP), self-introductory letter, and the documents as required based on the eligibility criteria. While the application form is complete in all respect, submit it.
Indian students should also mail the complete application form, SOP, all supporting documents, and the transaction details of the application fee of Rs. 500 through RTGS/ NEFT to admissions2023@nalandauniv.edu.in.
The same should also be forwarded to the Admissions Office at foreignstudents@nalandauniv.edu.in by the international candidates. However, the application fee will be US $ 8 instead.
The priority deadline for the application is 31st May 2023. However, the online portal will remain active for the registration of applications till 30th June 2023
Admission procedure
The selection of the candidates will be purely on merit. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview which will be conducted in person or through video conference according to the schedule as intimated to the candidates.
