Dr. Reddy's Foundation has announced applications open for Sashakt Scholarships for girls for studying in an undergraduate science course after clearing the Class 12 (10+2) exam. All costs for the three-year undergraduate degree courses of B.Tech., MBBS, and natural/pure sciences in a B.Sc. course will be covered, but the student should have received a definite offer of admission to one of the colleges that have been listed by the Foundation. For the final selection, girls from the rural areas of India, those who are from families with a low household income, and keenly interested in undertaking scientific research will be given preference.
Highlights of Sashakt Scholarship
An eminent lady scientist will guide each student throughout her academic years. The student will get a scholarship award of Rs. 2,40,000/-, that is, Rs 80,000/- for each year of the three years of study. The scholarship is open only to female students having an excellent academic track record and will take up a B.Tech., MBBS, or B.Sc. course right after completing the Class 12 exams.
