About Acharya Nagarjuna University

Acharya Nagarjuna University was established by Act 43 of 1976 of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature and Governed by Act 4 of 1991 covering 6 Universities of the State formerly it is known as Nagarjuna University. It was inaugurated on 11th September 1976 by the former President of India, Sri Fakruddin Ali Ahmed. The University has two post-graduate centers one at Nuzvid, Krishna District, and the other at Ongole, Prakasam District. University at present offers post-graduate education in 47 courses of which 39 are on the University campus, 4 at the University PG Campus at Nuzvid, and 5 at the University PG Campus at Ongole. It is offering Under-Graduate, Post-Graduate, Engineering, Education, Law, Pharmacy, and Oriental Languages courses and Post-graduate teaching-cum-research courses, etc.

Acharya Nagarjuna University (ANU) has announced admission into self-supported engineering courses such as B.Tech with exit option, and B.Tech + M.Tech. Dual Degree Programmes in CSE, EEE, ECE, Civil, Data Science, AI&ML, Cyber Security, and Mechanical Engineering for the academic year 2023-24.

Intake of Seats and Fee Details

  • For B.Tech + M.Tech. (Computer Science Engineering): The number of seats available in self-supporting mode will be 120 seats. The total fee per year for the course will be Rs. 1,50,000/- and a special fee of Rs. 5000/-.
  • For B.Tech + M.Tech. (Electronics & Communications Engineering): The number of seats available in self-supporting mode will be 120 seats. The total fee per year for the course will be Rs. 1,25,000/- and a special fee of Rs. 5000/-.
  • For B.Tech+M.Tech.(Mechanical Engineering): The number of seats available in self-supporting mode will be 30 seats. The total fee per year for the course will be Rs. 75,000/- and a special fee of Rs. 5000/-.
  • For B.Tech+M.Tech. (Civil engineering): The number of seats available in self-supporting mode will be 30 seats. The total fee per year for the course will be Rs. 75,000/- and a special fee of Rs. 5000/-.
  • For B.Tech+M.Tech. (Electrical & Electronics Engineering): The number of seats available in self-supporting mode will be 30 seats. The total fee per year for the course will be Rs. 75,000/- and a special fee of Rs. 5000/-.
  • For B.Tech+M.Tech. (Data Science): The number of seats available in self-supporting mode will be 30 seats. The total fee per year for the course will be Rs. 1,00,000/- and a special fee of Rs. 5000/-.
  • For B.Tech+M.Tech. (AI & ML): The number of seats available in self-supporting mode will be 30 seats. The total fee per year for the course will be Rs. 1,00,000/- and a special fee of Rs. 5000/-.
  • For B.Tech+M.Tech. (Cyber Security): The number of seats available in self-supporting mode will be 30 seats. The total fee per year for the course will be Rs. 1,00,000/- and a special fee of Rs. 5000/-.
  • Students are not entitled to any fee reimbursement or scholarship in this B.Tech.+ M.Tech Dual Degree Programme as it is a Self Support Programme. In addition, Candidates have to bear study, tour, and fieldwork fees.

Eligibility Criteria

You must fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admission into self-supporting engineering courses and dual degree programs-
You must have passed 10+2 with Mathematics, Physics & Chemistry as subjects with a minimum of 45% of Marks, and for those who belong to the reserved category 40% of Marks will be considered.

Selection Process

Selection for Admissions into B.Tech + M.Tech. Dual Degree Programmes will be done based on rank obtained in the entrance test which will be conducted by the Directorate Of Admissions, Acharya Nagarjuna University. The candidates admitted in B.Tech+M.Tech Dual Degree Programmes can exit after completion of 4 year B.Tech course period by paying Rs. 10,000 as an exit fee. The entrance test will be held on 25th June 2023. Candidates need to download the Hall-Tickets from the university website. Hall tickets consist of details such as Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Category, Test Centre Name, Date, and Time of examination. Candidates should reach the venue at least one hour before. Candidates are not allowed into the examination hall without a hall ticket and are not allowed to leave the examination hall after the completion of the test before the stipulated time.

Entrance Exam Details

The duration of the entrance test will be for 90 minutes and the question paper consists of multiple-choice questions for 100 Marks. The test paper consists of 3 parts with 100 questions comprising 40 questions in Mathematics, 30 questions in Physics, and 30 questions in Chemistry. All questions have equal weightage. There is no negative marking and no deduction from the total score will be made if no response is indicated for a question. Candidates should mention the Centre code and name of his or her choice in the application form.

Candidates are requested to carry the following to the examination center-
  1. Downloaded Hall Ticket.
  2. Printout of submitted online Application Form.
  3. Candidate must attest a copy of Caste certificate in case of SC/ST category.

Application Procedure

Those who are interested and eligible for admission should apply online through the Acharya Nagarjuna University website.

The application fee will be Rs.1200/- for General/BC and Rs. 1000/- for SC/ST/PH and additional bank charges will be applicable based on the selected mode of payment. Payment can be made by using a State Bank of India, Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking. After submission of the filled-in application form along with the required details, you must take a printout of the generated application form which contains the application number along with filled details as it can be used for further communication till the completion of the admission process.

You need to submit the printout of the filled-in online application form to the invigilator during the examination after affixing a recent color photo duly attested by the Gazetted officer or principal of the college where you have completed the qualifying examination.

Details required to be kept ready while filling out the application form are as follows-
  • Qualifying Examination hall ticket number.
  • Percentage of marks and year of Passing of Qualifying Examination
  • Date of Birth details as per SSC records.
  • Caste Certificate details in case of SC, ST, BC, EWS candidates.
  • PH, NCC, SPORTS, CAP details if applicable.
  • Details of Study or Residence or relevant certificate for proof of local status.

Important Dates to remember

  • Start date for submission of online applications: 05th June 2023
  • Last date for submission of Online Applications without late fee: 19th June 2023
  • Last date for submission of Online Application with a late fee of Rs.750/-: 22nd June 2023
  • Download of Hall Tickets from the university website: 23-06-2023 5.00 pm onwards
  • Date of Entrance Test: 25th June 2023
  • Date of display of results: 27th June 2023
