Push Sports Arena Pvt Ltd., a sports company that has set up a sports training academy for cricket and football, has launched sports scholarships for female cricket players. 'PUSH' is an acronym for 'Passionate Underdog Sports House'. Based in New Delhi and the NCR region, the company also has a number of grounds that can be hired for practice, sports events, and competitions. The company even hosts its own leagues to provide children with exposure to competitive matches. The training centers are at Gurgaon, Faridabad, Ghaziabad, Delhi, and Noida.
The Anjum Chopra Scholarship which is offered to encourage the participation of girls at the grassroots level, is a collaborative venture of Push Sports with well-known cricketer Anjum Chopra, a former captain of the Indian women's cricket team and recipient of the Padma Shri and Arjuna awards. Anjum Chopra will be monitoring the progress of the women who are selected for the scholarship.
About the scholarship The scholarship is open for 10 women cricketers who are citizens of India. The Anjum Chopra Sports Scholarship stipend is Rs. 1 lakh. It covers the expenses for an elite training program in cricket at one of the centers of Push Sports. The program will impart knowledge of the sport and help the trainees to work on their playing techniques. They will gain experience by playing in domestic and, if feasible, in international matches as well. Sports kits in the form of equipment and apparel will be provided.
The cricket training program will be for the duration of one year under the eagle eye of qualified coaches, and the trainees will be mentored by Puru Singh, the former coach of the Delhi Women's U-23 Team. Going ahead, the company will also foster the growth of the cricketers by providing the necessary support to develop a fruitful career in the sport, with potential sponsors providing the cricketing kits.

Once selected, you must sign a contract with Push Sports Management to enable you to avail yourself of the various benefits of the scholarship, and you are permitted to negotiate other aspects of player management as well.
