Applications open for RR Kabel Star Scholarships for children of Electricians

Are you searching for scholarships for Class 11 students who are children of families in the electrician trade? RR Kabel Limited, manufacturers of electrical switches, cables, wires, and allied components, launched RR Global's Mission RRoshni as part of its CSR program towards offering support for disaster relief, skill development, education, etc in rural India. Under Mission RRoshni, the company began the Kabel Star Scholarship Program in 2021-22 to provide financial aid to the children of electricians in India.

There are a total of 1000 scholarships offered each year, with each scholarship awardee receiving an amount of Rs.10,000/-. Applications are currently open for the upcoming academic session as per advertisements in leading newspapers, and as yet the last date to apply has not been announced. So hurry and apply soon!

Eligibility requirements

Profile: You should be the son/daughter of a registered electrician who is registered on the RR Connect app. This app is available for download on the Google Play Store and the Apple Store (links to both are provided on the official website).

Educational Qualification: You should be a student who has passed Class 10 for the first time this year (in the academic year 2022-2023) and has got admission for the upcoming academic year 2023-2024. That is, you must have received the results of the Class 10 exam in May/June this year and will be studying in Class 11 for the academic session of 2023-24. Also, you should have scored a minimum of 45% in the Class 10 exam. Note that an ATKT student is not eligible to apply.

Admission requirement: You should have secured admission to Class 11 in any course/stream that is recognized by a University/State Board/Central Board.

How to apply

The electrician has to register on RR Kabel's RR Connect App and then submit the application online

Fill in the details of the student's name, address, mobile number, gender, date of birth, age, residence address, school name & location, and hobbies. The Aadhar number is also mandatory. Then select the Board exam, percentage obtained, and ranking if applicable.

Attested documents to be uploaded during the online application procedure are-
  1. Class 10 mark sheet in PDF or JPG format (size not over 2MB)

  2. Proof of admission to Class 11 in PDF or JPG format (size not over 2MB)

  3. Aadhar Card of the electrician and of the student in PDF or JPG format (size not over 2MB)

  4. Certificates, if any, of extracurricular activities in PDF or JPG format (size not over 2MB)

Once you fill in all the information, click on the 'Next' button and proceed to fill in details of the student's father, then follow the further steps as required. The bank details with a copy of the passbook for address, bank account number, and IFSC Code details will also be required.
