Overview
Sun Pharma Science Foundation is a not-for-profit organization set up as a CSR initiative of Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. (known as Sun Pharma). The goal of the Foundation is to reward and nurture those who are keen on pursuing a career in the fields of medicine and pharmaceutical sciences. With this goal, the Foundation offers awards to meritorious students of MD/Ph.D. in any discipline that is related to Biomedical or Pharmaceutical Sciences.
Nominations are now open for 2023. Selected nominees will be expected to present their research work to assessors appointed by the Foundation, and must be committed to working in a public or privately funded academic/research-based organization for a period of at least 2 years post-completion of studies.
About SPSF Science Scholar Awards
Sun Pharma Science Foundation will offer two awards in Biomedical Sciences and two awards in Pharmaceutical Sciences. The winner of each award will receive a cash prize of Rs.50,000/- along with a citation. That's not all! As a winner, you will get an additional lump sum amount of Rs.50,000/- to attend an international conference to present the abstract/posters of your research work, once you have submitted the required documents for it.Eligibility requirements
Age criterion: You should be less than 30 years of age.
Other criteria-
You must be an Indian national who has completed not less than a year of M.D. in Biomedical or Pharmaceutical Sciences or Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences or Ph.D. in Pharmaceutical Sciences, but should not already have completed the M.D. or Ph.D. program. You should also be currently doing research in India, and have completed at least one research project.How to submit nominations for Science Scholar Awards

The first step is to fill in your personal information, such as name, address, mobile number, email ID, citizenship, ongoing course, etc, and upload a photo as well.
The second step is to fill details of the nominator, namely, name, address, mobile number, and email ID. Next, you need to submit a letter from the nominator which certifies that the research work submitted for the award has been done by you (the applicant). Additionally, you need to submit a letter from the nominator which justifies sponsoring of the nomination. Ensure that this letter is signed by the nominator. Next, take a preview of all the information, edit if necessary, and then submit.
Steps after initial submission: Only after all of the above has been submitted, you will be given a login ID and a password which will give you access to the page where you need to submit further details and documents. These include your C.V., full details of the research project, etc. Please refer to the official notification for information on the documents you need to submit related to other aspects, such as no conflict of interest, ethical clearance, etc.
The academic details to be submitted include the aggregate marks, in (i) Class 12 PCB/PCM subjects, and (ii) Bachelor's/Master's Degree, as well as the number of attempts for each, and the year of passing each. You need to submit age proof, and you can also upload details of publications, awards, scholarships, and other achievements, if applicable.
Note that after submitting the nomination online, a printout should be taken, and must be sent to the Foundation's office (refer to contact details below) with the requisite attachments.Important dates
