DAV University, Jalandhar has released the admissions notification for undergraduate and postgraduate courses for the academic year 2023-24. One of the benefits of studying at the university is that many of the programs are industry-collaborated ones, and the university's Corporate Resource Centre (CRC) arranges internship training programs as well as employment opportunities upon graduation. For example, paid and non-paid internship programs are offered for B.Tech., MBA, and MCA.

Overview of the University

DAV University, Jalandhar, which is under the aegis of the DAV College Managing Committee, is a UGC-approved university offering quality education through professional programs in the fields of science, computer science, engineering, technology, law, languages, management, etc. Scholarships are available for meritorious students. Interesting activities are arranged by the various student clubs for photography, music, dance, drama, Fine Arts, agriculture, etc. and field trips are organized by various departments. The university also has NSS and NSC units.

The spacious campus has very good infrastructure, including well-equipped science and engineering labs, a media lab & studio, an auditorium, a gym, sports facilities, a medical centre, and R&D facilities. The library offers access to e-books and e-journals. The hostels have both A/C and non-A/C, single and shared rooms. The university provides buses for students from nearby localities on specific routes, and the bus transport fee depends on the route. You can also board a local bus that is operated by the State Govt. to the campus and get off at the stop on the national highway that is located near the campus gate.

3-year BCA: You should have passed the Class 12 exam with a min. of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).

3-year B.Sc. Computer Science: You should have passed the Class 12 exam with Physics, Chemistry, and Maths with a min. of 50% marks (45% for SC/ST candidates).

2-year MCA with specialization in SAP: You should have a Bachelor's Degree (it should be a min. 3-year degree course) in BCA or B.Sc.(IT) or B.Sc.(CS) or an equivalent or B.Voc. with Computer as a major subject and with Maths at the Class 12 level or at the graduation level with a min. of 50% aggregate marks (45% for SC/ST candidates). 4-year B.Sc. (Hons.): You should have passed the Class 12 exam or equivalent with PCB/PCMB/PCM/Inter-agriculture (ACB) with min. 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates).

3-year B.Sc. (Food Science & Technology): You should have passed the Class 12 exam with English as one of the subjects as well as the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (PCM), and/or Biology (PCB/PCMB) with min. 50% marks in aggregate (45% for SC/ST candidates).

2-year M.Sc.: You should have a B.Sc. (Agriculture/Horticulture) with min. CGPA requirements (refer to the official website to know eligible CGPA criteria) or min. 60% if no CGPA is given.

2-year B.P.Ed.: You should have a Bachelor's degree in any stream or equivalent with min. 50% aggregate marks. It is also required to have participated in an inter-college or inter-zonal competition in sports/games or one at the school or District level as recognized by the AIU/IOA/SGFI/Govt. of India.
