About NIPHM


National Institute of Plant Health Management, Hyderabad was established in 1966 by the Government of India as Central Plant Protection Institute at Hyderabad. It is a National Level institute under the Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Ministry. It was registered as an autonomous society on 24th October 2008 under the Ministry of Agriculture, Government of India as National Institute of Plant Health Management. This institute offers training in various programs such as plant health Management, Bio Security and Plant Quarantine, Pesticide Management, and Plant Health Engineering.

Admissions 2023


National Institute of Plant Health Management has announced admission to Massive Open Online Courses in Rodents and Household Pest Management and Plant Biosecurity for September 2023.

Course Details


  • Plant Biosecurity: The duration of the course is of 3 months consisting of 24 lectures. This course covers plant quarantine, plant biosecurity, import and export procedures for plant products, International and National regulations, phytosanitary treatments, and regional harmonization.
  • Rodents and Household Pest Management: The duration of the course is 3 months and consists of 21 chapters with 3 modules. This course covers the biology and management of rodents, cockroaches, bedbugs, mosquitoes, flies, termites, storage pests, and weed identification and management.

Eligibility Criteria


You need to fulfill the following eligibility criteria for admission into Massive open online courses.
    For Plant Biosecurity:
  • You must be a Graduate in any stream and a person pursuing a final year may also apply.
  • You must have passed a Degree from a recognized Indian University.
  • If you are qualification is from a foreign university then it should be recognized by the Government of India.
  • The minimum age limit for admission to a course is 20 years.
  • For Rodents and Household Pest Management:
  • You must have passed an Intermediate or Higher Secondary or Diploma in any field with a science background.
  • Person working in any pest control company can also apply.
  • Minimum age limit for admission in course is 18 years.

Application Procedure


You are requested to apply online through NIPHM Website for admission to the Massive Open Online Courses for September. You need to pay a course fee of Rs. 2500/- through RTGS/NIPHM payments QR code at the time of admission after approval of registration of the course.   • Last date for application for both courses: 10th August 2023.
