AICTE Post Graduate Scholarships for GATE/CEED students 2023-24 applications open
Looking for postgraduate scholarships for AICTE courses? This article provides complete information on the PG Scholarships offered by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Institutes can nominate students who are eligible to receive the scholarships. The All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) invites proposals from AICTE-approved institutions for the Post Graduate Scholarships that are awarded to full-time GATE/CEED-qualified students who have been given admission to the first year of the academic year 2023-24 in an AICTE-approved post-graduate program.

The students whose names are proposed should have got qualifying marks with a valid score obtained in the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE)/ Common Entrance Exam for Design (CEED). Note that foreign students, sponsored students, and those who have been admitted to a PG program through the management quota are not eligible for the AICTE PG Scholarship. A student receiving financial assistance through another source will not be permitted to avail of this scholarship unless he/she discontinues taking that other assistance (know the specific terms and conditions of this from the official guidelines). Also, a scholarship will be discontinued for students who leave the course midway.AICTE PG GATE/CEED Scholarships Features
Scholarship Amount: Rs. 12,400/- per month per student. This amount may be subject to change as per any notification that may be issued by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India, New Delhi.
Mode of payment: The PG scholarship amount will be released through PFMS on the Aadhar Bridge Payment System (ABPS). Once the Aadhar-active bank account details have been received, a bank beneficiary code will be generated within the next 15 days. If this bank beneficiary code is generated successfully before the 20th of a particular month, then the scholarship amount will be released at the end of that same month. In case it is generated after the 20th of the month, the amount will be at the end of the next month.
Number of Scholarships: The number of PG Scholarships will be on the basis of the AICTE-approved intake in the program in the year 2023-24. In addition to this number, AICTE will also provide PG scholarships to an additional 10% of students who are from Economically Weaker Sections (EWS category) if the university/institute has given admission to EWS students.
Duration: The scholarship will be awarded for a period of 24 months or for the duration of the course, that is, starting from the date of commencement of the classes till the date of completion of the classes, whichever is lower. The duration will not be extended for any reason.
Type of PG Programs: AICTE-approved programs of M.E/M.Tech./M.Pharm./M.Arch.
Academic requirements: As a recipient of the AICTE PG scholarship, it is mandatory for you to take up at least 8 to 10 hours per week of work related to teaching and research activities as assigned to you by the institute. This could include tutorials, lab sessions, assisting the faculty in research and development activities, maintenance of labs including computer labs, assisting in the library, etc.
You are also required to ensure that you maintain satisfactory academic performance and adhere to all the norms, rules, and regulations of the University/Institute.
Leave: You are permitted to take casual leave of a total of a maximum of 15 days in an academic year, and a maximum of 30 days in an academic year for medical leave. Maternity/ Paternity leave is also permitted as per the norms of the Govt. of India. No leave is permitted, though, beyond the maximum- permitted leave. Also, whatever the type of the leave, it must be taken only with prior approval of the college, institute, or university as applicable.AICTE PG GATE/CEED Scholarships Eligibility Criteria
Your institute may propose your name for the PG scholarship if you are fulfilling the following requirements-
If you are studying in the final year of a dual degree integrated program, then also you are eligible for the PG Scholarship from the 9th semester onwards if you get a CGPA score of 8 or above (on a scale of 10). In such a case, the scholarship will be given only for one year, which is, the final year.Application procedure

There are four steps to applying for the scholarship. First, the institute has to create a student ID. The student then has to submit the application form after collecting the Unique ID from the institute and log in at https://www.aicte-india.org/schemes/students-development-schemes/PG-Scholarship-Scheme
Next, the institute has to verify the application. The fourth and final step is verification of the application by AICTE.
Note that it is mandatory for the institute to generate the monthly attendance record of the student.Important dates
Institutes can create the student's ID from 19th September 2023 and latest by 30th November 2023.
Eligible students can upload their information from 118th September 2023 and up to 30th November 2023 on the AICTE portal.
Institutions must complete the procedure of verification of the student's data on or before 15th December 2023.Contact information
