Applications open for SBI Foundation Asha Scholarship program for poor students


Looking for funds to pay the school fees of poor students? This article provides details about the SBI Foundation Asha Scholarship program for meritorious students of low-income families. SBI Foundation (SBIF), the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) unit of the State Bank of India, is offering scholarships for students of low-income families as part of its Integrated Learning Mission (ILM) program with the aim of financially assisting them to continue with their academic studies. SBIF Asha Scholarship Program Features

Students will be selected for the SBIF Asha Scholarship program on the basis of their academic records and financial status. After shortlisting the eligible students, there will be a document verification process, followed by a personal interview.

Scholarship amount: Rs. 10,000/-. This amount will be directly transferred into the bank account of the scholar.

Duration: One year only (it is a one-time scholarship).



Eligibility requirements

Academics criteria: You can apply for the 2023 scholarship if you are currently studying in Class 6 to Class 12. You should have a good academic track record, with a minimum of 75% marks in the previous academic year.

Family income criterion: The annual family income should not be more than Rs. 3,00,000/- from all sources of income.

Application procedure

Fill up the online application form, and upload the required documents. You can preview the details that you submitted, and make corrections if required. If all details are correct, then proceed to submit the application form.

The documents that should be scanned and uploaded with the online application form are-
  1. ID proof of the applicant: This should be one that is issued by the Government (Aadhar Card)

  2. A photo of the applicant

  3. The mark sheet of the previous academic year

  4. Proof that the applicant has got admission in the current academic year: This could be the fee receipt or the admission letter of the ID card of the institution where you have got admission/bonafide certificate.

  5. Bank account details of the applicant (or of a parent)

  6. Income proof: This could be Form 16A or the income certificate from a Govt. authority/salary slip, etc.

The last date to submit the online application is 30th November 2023.
