ONGC Merit Scholarships for poor students of Engineering, MBBS, MBA, Geology, Geophysics courses
Looking for an annual large scholarship for poor students to complete MBBS, engineering, MBA, or geology/geophysics postgraduate courses? Applications are ongoing for the ONGC Foundation Merit Scholarship Scheme for MBBS, MBA, and Postgraduate students in Engineering, Geology, and Geophysics already enrolled for the 2023-24 academic session. ONGC Foundation is offering scholarships to 2000 meritorious students pursuing professional courses in Engineering, MBBS, and Master's Degree courses in MBA, Geology, and Geophysics for the academic year 2023-24. ONGC Foundation Scholarship Features
There are 1000 scholarships for SC/ST category students, 500 for OBC category students, and 500 for General category/Economically Weaker Section (EWS) students. 50% of scholarships are reserved for girls.
The ONGC Foundation Scholarship Amount is Rs. 48,000/- per annum. This amount will be disbursed on a yearly basis, and deposited directly in the bank account of the student through the ECS facility.
The scholarship is available only for full-time regular courses that are approved by the State or Central Govt./UGC/AICTE/MCI/Association of Indian Universities/State Education Boards as applicable and in the designated subjects/streams as mentioned in the eligibility requirements.
It is important to note that you are not permitted to avail of financial aid from other sources or accept any other scholarship once you are selected to receive the ONGC Foundation scholarship. Also, in order to continue to get the scholarship for the remainder of the course you need to get a minimum of 60% or 6 grade points out of 10 in each year's semester exam.

Age criterion: You should not be more than 30 years of age as of 16th October 2023.
Academic profile: You should be enrolled in the academic year 2023-24 as a student in the first year of Graduate Engineering or M.B.B.S. courses or the first year of a Master's degree program in Geology/ Geophysics or MBA. Additionally, you should have scored a minimum of 60% marks in Class 12 for UG programs and a minimum of 60% marks in graduation for PG courses.
Family income: The gross family income should be less than Rs. 2 Lakhs per annum from all sources for OBC, General category/EWS candidates, and less than Rs.4.5 lakhs for SC and ST candidates.Application procedure
You need to submit applications for the scholarship online on the official portal after going through the eligibility and other details of the ONGC Foundation Scholarship Scheme.
Ensure that you provide an active mobile number, email ID, and bank account details while applying. The documents mentioned below should be duly certified and attested by the Head/Principal/Dean of the Institute/ College/University where you are enrolled in the full-time course.
