The Big Bang Theory - How the universe came into existence

In this article, I am discussing the Big Bang theory that explains the formation of the universe. The universe was formed due to two main components namely expansion and cooling. In this process, many particles were formed which further led to the formation of planets including our planet Earth.

Have you ever wondered how our universe emerged? Today, we are living comfortably and enjoying the beauty of nature on this planet. This planet is a part of the universe that is boundless. So far, we have discovered the beautiful planets, asteroids, meteoroids, sun, moon, stars, etc. present in the entire solar system. The planets constantly revolve around the sun. But how did it come into existence? The scientists provide scientific proof about the formation of the universe.

The Big Bang Theory

The Big Bang is a theory explaining how the universe expanded from its state of high density and temperature. It is said that a single dense and hot point inflated and expanded at an incredible speed. The scientists also state that the earth will still expand in the next 13.7 billion years. Singularity refers to the small ball believed to exist that was so dense and piercingly hot and hence led to expansion. The current and past matter present in the universe existed at the same time. After the universe initially expanded, it radically cooled. Due to the cooling process of the earth, sub-atoms were formed that became atoms later on. Earlier, due to extreme heat, the universe that exists today was extremely unstable. Only as it began to cool and expand, and after the flooding of different matters, different elements came into existence.

Scientists state that the force of gravity existed even earlier. The forces that exist today, such as electromagnetism, gravity, and nuclear forces, are separating from each other after a fraction of a second after the Big Bang. After the period of expansion, the universe then contained quark-gluon plasma and some particles that led to the cooling of the earth. As the density and temperature of the universe were reducing, the energy of the particles also began to decrease. As a result, due to the constant decrease of particle energies, quarks and gluons combined later to form matter such as protons and neutrons. So, about 4.6 billion years ago, the sun and the planets were formed from a cloud of gases and dust known as a solar nebula. The sun was formed in the centre, surrounded by the planets around it in the form of a disk. Our Earth planet was also formed in this way, and the moon was formed after the collision of the Earth with other small planets. Life on Earth began due to three main components: a steady source of energy, water, and other organic compounds.

Cosmic inflation

It states that even a small piece that was hot and dense began expanding, and then the whole universe condensed after expansion. The universe even expanded more quickly than the radiation of light. The period of cosmic inflation lasted merely for a second. After the period of cosmic inflation, the process of reheating took place. Matters such as atoms, particles, neutrons, protons, and other stuff flooded into the universe. Elements such as stars, galaxies, and other stuff that exist in this universe were formed.

This is a very interesting topic. There are different views about the origin of universe. The Big-Bang theory is one of the most accepted one.

The Universe is very big and there is large amount of material in different forms present in it. A lot of energy is also there in various forms like gravitational energy, heat energy, nuclear energy, fusion energy, etc. The mass-energy relationship (E =mc^2) tells us that mass and energy can be interchanged in each other depending on the environment. But the amount of sum of mass and energy would be a constant and that is the basic strength of the universe.
Origin of universe is still a big puzzle because the time scale in which universe is evolved or periodically coming in a shape is very big-time scale and beyond the comprehension of human beings.

The time zero or origin is only a concept but something existing there since infinite time cannot be ignored.
One thing interesting in this matter is that as more and more powerful telescope are being made the depth of universe is also increasing day by day. The space technology is developing at a fast pace and we will be getting better answers in coming times about the origin of universe and origin of life.
