The CBSE-affiliated co-ed English medium senior secondary school has a good reputation both for its academic profile and its unique co-scholastic activities. While the pre-primary children are engaged in learning activities of the KG and Montessori system of education, students follow the CBSE curriculum across all higher classes. As per the class level, other than the specific subjects of the curriculum as stated below, students attend sessions related to adolescent education, health awareness, environment, etc.
In Classes 1, 2, and 3, students study Maths, EVS 1 (Science), EVS 2 (SST), Language I - English, and Language II - Tamil/Hindi. Students of Classes 4 to 8 study Science, Maths, Social Science, Computer Science, Language I - English, and Language II - Tamil/Hindi.
Once the student enters Class 9, in addition to the two Language components, they also have Language III - Tamil/Hindi/German/French/Sanskrit, along with Science, Maths, Social Science & Skill subjects (Artificial Intelligence).

For the Pre K.G. class: 2 years as of 31st March 2024.
For the Montessori-I class: 2 years 6 months (2 ½ years) as of 31st March 2024.

Parents seeking admission for their wards to Chettinad Vidyashram, Chennai should obtain the application form for admission at the school office on any working day from 24th November 2023 up to 4th December 2023 between 10 a.m and 3 p.m.
The application form should be completed and submitted to the school office on or before 9th December 2023 along with the following documents-
For admission to Pre-KG, LKG, and Montessori-I classes: (i) A recent Passport size photo of the child, (ii) a recent PAN Card-size photo of both parents, (iii) a self-attested copy of the birth certificate (not necessary if online-generated)/Community Certificate, for students applying in the reserved categories (SC, ST, MBC & BC)/Aadhar Card.
For admission to UKG to Std IX classes: The same as mentioned for the pre-primary classes, as well as a self-attested copy of the School Report Card of Term –I/EMIS number for Std I-XI.
For admission to Std XI class: The same as mentioned for the pre-primary classes, as well as a self-attested copy of the Mark List of the half-yearly exam Term-I (Mandatory)/EMIS number for XI.
