This article is about the Uttar Pradesh Scholarship for students who are studying from 8th grade to college students. It is sanctioned by the Social Welfare Department to the deserving students of Uttar Pradesh. In this article, I am discussing different aspects of scholarship such as eligibility criteria, process of application, benefits, etc.
The Social Welfare Department of Uttar Pradesh is providing pre-matric and post-matric scholarships to students in Uttar Pradesh. It is rewarded to students for further education at more than 2 lakh and 60 universities in Uttar Pradesh. So, students in the 11th and 12th grades should apply for post-matriculation scholarships. The amount sanctioned by the department to the students varies according to financial need and academic performance. So, the candidates should visit the official site of the UP scholarship to apply.Eligibility criteria for scholarships
The candidate should be a permanent resident of Uttar Pradesh and should be studying in the 11th or 12th grade at a recognized institute or college.
The parental income of students applying for post-matriculation scholarships for OBC, general, and minorities should not exceed 2,00,000 Rs., and for the SC/ST category, it should not exceed Rs. 2,50,000 from all sources. The parental income of students applying for pre-matric scholarships should not exceed Rs. 1,00,000.

The students should visit the official site of the UP scholarship, https://scholarship.up.gov.in/
Then you can find two links on the scheme page, namely Pre-Matric and Post-Matric.
The first step of the application is registration using an Aadhar card.
Then you should fill out a form online, providing the required details. You should also provide details of your marks in the previous class.
Then use the 'Submit' option to submit the form and then upload the required documents. The required documents include mark sheets, certification of education qualification, resident certificate, caste certificate, Aadhar card, photo of passport size, valid e-mail ID, registration number of the present university, etc.
After uploading the documents, your form and documents are verified by the Welfare Department. You will receive the scholarship amount only when your form is approved by the department. The amount is directly transferred to your bank. If you have not received the amount, then verify the information you submitted and make corrections.
An application fee is not required to fill out the form online. Candidates who had applied for scholarships last year should renew the scholarships. The candidates should use the registration number from last year to log in. Then go to the 'Renewal section' and then enter the fresh details.Some important dates about the scholarship
The last date of registration for post-matriculate scholarships is January 10, 2024. Earlier, the department had notified the last date on January 6, 2024, but now the date is extended to January 10, 2024.
The last date for the correction of applications and submissions is January 13, 2024.
The form is to be verified by the institution on January 16, 2024.
The errors in the application form at the student level are from February 2, 2024, to February 9, 2024.
The last date for correction of the application submission date is February 12, 2024.
The amount is transferred to the bank until March 15, 2024.
