The Assam Post-Matric Scholarship 2024 is sponsored by the Directorate of Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Other Backward Classes of Assam every year to deserving students belonging to the OBC caste. Students studying in colleges and universities are benefited by the central government every year. The students are provided with an academic allowance for a year and are also given tuition fees of up to Rs. 10, 000. The applicant need not pay any application fees to avail of this scholarship.Eligibility criteria for the scholarship
This scholarship is provided to OBC candidates only, and even students from other backward classes such as SC/ST are not included.
The student should be a citizen of India and also a resident of Assam who finished schooling in Assam and is continuing further studies in Assam.
Only two boys in a family can avail of a scholarship. But if a parent has more than two daughters and they are studying in 11th grade or above, then all the girls can apply.
It is meant for students who are studying in 11th grade or above and includes intermediate courses, graduation, post-graduation, or diploma courses.
The parental income from all sources should not exceed Rs. 2.5 lakhs for post-matriculation scholarships. They should obtain a certificate from the Circle Officer of the Revenue Circle of the area.
The students should show good performance in the tests and should also have good moral character.How do I apply for the scholarship?
The students should go to the official site of the National Scholarshipto fill out the form.
Then below, on the homepage, they can find a link for "New Registration," and the students should first register their names. They should follow the guidelines, accept the terms, and then press 'Continue'.
A new webpage is opened, and they should enter their mobile number, captcha, and OTP.
Then, they are notified on their mobile about the newly generated user name and password.
Then, they can log in next time, choosing the option' Fresh Application'.
Enter your credentials and then press 'log-in'.
Upload the documents such as ID and address proof (Aadhar Card), birth certificate, caste certificate, domicile certificate, bank passbook, income certificate marksheets of previous classes, and certificates from schools and colleges. As ID proof, they should produce an Aadhar card, and if they do not possess it, they should produce a bonafide certificate.
Use the 'submit' button to submit information. Then a printout is generated, and you should save a copy of the printout.Important dates

Group 2(students studying certificates, diplomas, and undergraduate degrees): Rs. 510 for hostel-living students and Rs. 210 for day scholars
Group 3(graduate and postgraduate, such as B.com, B.Sc., B.A., or M.Com., M.Sc.): Rs. 400 for hostel-living students and Rs. 210 for day scholars.
