Xavier Institute of Management and Entrepreneurship (XIME) has announced admissions open for the Post Graduate Diploma Management (PGDM) program and for the PGDM Business Analytics (PGDM – BA) program for the academic session 2024-26.

At the outset, it should be mentioned that while the institute states that it has AICTE approval for both programs, students should verify for themselves the NBA and other accreditations and AICTE approval documents that are available on the official website specifically for the academic year 2024-26.

Overview of XIME Campuses and Programs

XIME is a private Business School and is not affiliated with any University. The PGDM is offered at its residential campuses in Bengaluru, Kochi and Chennai, while the PGDM – BA is offered only at the Bengaluru campus. The course curriculum, study materials, teaching methods, the evaluation system, and the placement process are the same across the three campuses. All three Wi-Fi-enabled campuses have good infrastructure, including classrooms with teaching aids, libraries, computer centres, auditoriums, conference halls, separate hostels for boys and girls, sports facilities, recreational spaces, medical facilities, etc. Students participate in the activities of various clubs and annual fests. Every student will be given medical insurance coverage. Students must stay on campus and bring their laptops. Fees should be paid on time otherwise there will be a penalty. Refund policies are as per AICTE norms.

The academic lectures of the PGDM programs are delivered by highly qualified faculty with an excellent track record in the corporate world, and the curriculum is regularly updated to meet current industry requirements.



What you learn: Harvard Business School case studies are part of the learning experience, and you have the option to join XIME's student exchange program with national and international institutes. In addition to the academic curriculum, leadership abilities, and analytical and problem-solving skills are developed, and soft skills are honed. Seminars and business games are part of the programs as well. You will get encouragement and guidance for pursuing research projects and publishing project findings in reputed recognized journals.

The evaluation process includes regular tests, live projects, quizzes, etc as well as the term-end exam. You must score a minimum CGPA of 4.5 to be eligible to move forward to the second year, and a CGPA of 5 (B-average) is necessary at the end of the second year to be awarded the Post Graduate Diploma in Management.

After completing the PGDM program, XIME's Placement Cell will provide guidance and assist in employment opportunities with leading companies. Alumni have got jobs in reputed companies, financial firms, banks, etc such as Tech Mahindra, Infosys, Dell, Capgemini, etc.

About XIME PGDM Program

The PGDM program is a full-time residential program of two years duration.

Specializations: HR, Marketing, Finance, Operations, IT and Analytics, and General Management.

Number of seats: 240 seats in the Bangalore campus, 150 in the Chennai campus, and 120 in the Kochi campus. The Kochi campus may have more seats available if AICTE approval is received for it.

Curriculum: In the first year of the course, you will have Foundation courses in management, while in the second year, there are core courses, Electives, and environmental and integrative courses. You will also get exposure to a foreign language, namely, French, German, or Spanish,

You have to take up one compulsory elective in the first year, while in the second year, you take 12 electives, of which at least 6 courses should be from the major areas of specialisation and 4 in minor areas, with the remaining in any combination. The Electives in the first year (the third term) are- Technology Trends, IT Project Management, Consulting, and Business History.

Internship: All students have to take up an 8-week summer internship program that will give hands-on industrial experience for students. The 3-week Socially Useful and Productive Activity (SUPA) is the mandatory winter internship program that gives you a direct understanding of the management issues and challenges faced by small industries, NGOs, etc, and how they overcome them.



About PGDM-BA

The PGDM Business Analytics (PGDM – BA) program is offered only in Bangalore. This 2-year full-time residential AICTE-approved program has 60 seats.

Curriculum: You will learn various aspects of AI, Machine Learning, Advanced Cloud Computing, Cyber Security, the Internet of Things, Blockchain technology, etc., and data analytics tools like Python, SQL, Power BI, Hadoop, Tableau, etc. There will also be an 8-week summer Internship as part of the PGDM-BA program to gain industrial experience, and, like it is for the PGDM, a 3-week Socially Useful and Productive Activity (SUPA).

Electives: Organizational Behavior (OB) and HR, IT and Analytics, Marketing, Finance, Operations, and General Management.

XIME PGDM Eligibility criteria

For both the programs, namely, PGDM and PGDM-BA, the eligibility requirements are as follows-

Academic Qualifications: You should have a Bachelor's Degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum aggregate of 50% marks for all subjects taken together (a minimum of 45% for students applying in the SC/ST category).

Note that if you are appearing for the final year exam of the qualifying Degree and are awaiting the result, then also you can apply. However, you should have maintained an average of 50% marks in the degree course until then, and you must complete all the degree exams before 25th June 2024. In this case, you must produce proof of passing the Degree exam with the minimum required marks, latest by 30th September 2024 (confirm this with XIME at the time of applying in case there is a change in this criterion based on AICTE guidelines). In case you have not cleared any backlog papers in graduation, you will not be eligible to apply for the XIME PGDM programs.

Management Test Scores: If you have a credible score in any reputed Management Entrance Test and possess a valid scorecard at the time of application, you are welcome to apply for the PGDM programs. The scores of these management entrance tests are accepted for admission to the programs-
  1. Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT)

  2. Common Admission Test (CAT)

  3. Common Management Admission Test (CMAT)

  4. Management Aptitude Test (MAT)

  5. AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA)

  6. Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT)

  7. TANCET scores for admission to the Chennai campus (but not for any of the other campuses)

  8. Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT) scores are accepted for admission to the Kochi campus (but not for any of the other campuses)

XIME PGDM Application Procedure

Before applying for admission to XIME campuses for the management programs, read the XIME brochure that is available on the XIME website. Scan and keep ready all relevant documents, such as mark sheets, management Test scores, your signature, etc to upload, with images in png/jpeg/jpg format only.

Applications to the PGDM and PGDM-BA programs should be submitted at the XIME PGDM Admissions portal and submit the application fee of Rs.1750/- online with a credit card or debit card or through net banking or mobile wallets. On successful payment of the application fee, an application number will be generated. This number should be mentioned in all communications with XIME.

Once your application is accepted, you need to attend the Group Discussion (GD), and the Personal Interview (PI) as scheduled. Next, if you are shortlisted, you need to pay Rs. 25,000/- as a caution deposit within the given payment date. Once you receive the offer letter for provisional admission, you have to pay the first installment of the PGDM program fee within the given date.

XIME PGDM Program Fee

The fee structure of XIME management programs is as follows-
For the PGDM and PGDM-BA programs at XIME, Bangalore: The first year fee is Rs.6,50,000/- which can be paid in 3 installments, and for the second year, it is Rs.6,00,000/- which can also be paid in 3 installments.

For the PGDM XIME, Chennai & Kochi: The first year fee is Rs.5,10,000/-, and for the second year it is Rs.4,60,000/-. Each can be paid in 3 installments.

You can check the official website to know the breakup of the program fees, and the separate fees for hostel accommodation, the Establishment Fee, etc. Once you have paid the fees, check the schedule of the program's inauguration day at the campus where you have received admission to the management program and ensure that you are present in person on that date.

Financial aid: You can contact the admissions team to learn about financial assistance and scholarships that are offered to meritorious students. As per AICTE guidelines, there is a Tuition Fee waiver if the parental income is less than 8 lakhs from all sources. However, this is applicable only for exemption of the tuition fee and all other fees must be paid by the student. To avail of the Tuition Fee waiver, you are required to submit valid proof of parental income (check the information bulletin for further details).



Important Dates

The applications for admission to XIME's PGDM programs are ongoing and you must submit the online application for Phase-1 of the GD & PI by 7th February 2024.

Phase-1 of the GD & PI (online) will be conducted from 10th to 15th February 2024, and the results of these will be announced within one week.
