MAT 2024 Online Registrations open


Are you keen to study in an IIM? This article provides complete information about the schedule for registration for the MAT entrance test for those candidates who want to pursue management studies in prestigious management institutes including IIMs. Details about the eligibility criteria, age limit, exam pattern, syllabus, the procedure to apply, etc have been provided.

MAT, or Management Aptitude Test, is a test meant for candidates who wish to study courses such as MBA at top institutes. It is conducted by the All India Management Association to test the management proficiency of students. The test is held four times a year in February, May, September, and December in both online and offline modes.

MAT 2024 Eligibility criteria

The candidate should be a graduate of any stream from any recognized university and should secure a minimum of 50% marks. The students belonging to special categories such as SC, ST, or PWD should score a minimum of 45%. Even students studying in the final year of any stream can apply. Candidates who have passed CA , ICWA, or CS can also apply for the exam.

The age limit is not specified by the All India Management Association.

MAT 2024 Exam Pattern

The exam is conducted in three testing modes: paper-based tests, computer-based tests, and remote-proctored internet-based tests, which are conducted at home only. The students can choose any mode of examination.

The paper-based test is conducted from 10 a.m. to 12.30 p.m. in offline mode. The students should solve 200 questions. This test should be completed in 2 hours.

The computer-based test is held in exam centers in different slots. The students should solve 200 questions and complete the test in 2 hours and 30 minutes.

The remote-proctored internet-based test is held at home for 2 hours and 30 minutes. It is held in the morning and evening batches.

If the students answer the questions correctly, then they are awarded 1 mark. 25 marks are deducted for every wrong answer.

The exam consists of five sections: language comprehension, data analysis and sufficiency, mathematical skills, intelligence and critical reasoning, and the Indian and global environment. Each question consists of 40 marks.

How do I apply for MAT 2024?

Students should visit the site of MAT, or AIIMA and find the link 'Register for MAT 2024' near the text 'Spotlight'. Enter the information as required, and then choose a password. Then choose the button 'Register' to become registered on this site. You are notified with an OTP number on your mobile.
Then, you should enter the OTP number to verify your mobile number and use this number to log in.

Next, you should proceed with the payment of the application fee using a credit card, debit card, net banking, etc. The application fee is Rs. 2100, and if you are appearing for two IBT exams, then pay Rs. 3,300.

Next, choose the mode of examination, i.e., paper-based test, computer-based test, or internet-based test, and enter the remaining information as required. Then upload the photo and signature in the prescribed format, and choose five institutes to be notified about the MAT score.

The last date for the paper-based test is February 20th, 2024.
Date of issuance of the admit card for the paper-based test: February 22, 2024
Date of Paper-Based Examination: February 25, 2024
The last date to apply for the computer-based test is March 5, 2024.
Date of issuance of admit card: March 8, 2024
Date of examination of the computer-based test: March 10, 2024
Last date to apply for the IBT( Internet-Based Test): February 22, 2024
Last date to apply for IBT-2: March 1, 2024
The last date to apply for IBT-3 is March 6, 2024.
Exam dates for IBT-1, IBT-2, and IBT-3 are February 24, March 3, and March 8, respectively.
