AP Tribal Welfare Residential Education Institutions Admissions 2024-25
AP tribal welfare Residential Education Institutions Society (Gurukulam) of the AP government released notification for admissions to Intermediate and 8th class in their schools. The details about admission are brought out in this article. These seats are only for candidates belonging to the ST category.
Introduction
A.P Tribal Welfare Residential Education Institutions Society (GURUKULAM) Tadepalli, Guntur district released notification for admission into 8th Class & 1st year Intermediate with integrated coaching for IIT/AIEEE (JEET) /EAMCET for the year 2023-24 In their colleges.
The APTWREIS (Gurukulam) Tadepalli is running three institutions of excellence(COEs), four schools of Excellence (SOEs) and 29 residential junior colleges (RJCs) for ST Students. These institutions are only for scheduled Tribes (ST) candidates. They are intended to impart quality education and provide specialized coaching to meritorious ST students so they can get admission to all Indian Level Institutes such as IIT, NIT, IIIT, AIIM, etc.
The selection will be based on the rank obtained by the candidate in the entrance test that Gurukulam will conduct. The education in these institutions is free and includes free boarding, lodging, uniforms, notebooks & textbooks, bedding material, medical care, examination fees, etc. All seats are only for ST candidates and 3% of the seats are reserved for Physically handicapped students from STs only. For admission to Intermediate
All the ST students (Boys & Girls) who are appearing for the 10th class in the academic year 2023-24 in TW Residential Schools, Ashram Schools, Govt. Schools and other Govt. Recognized schools can apply for the entrance test of the Intermediate course. Students who secure a minimum B2 Grade (7 GPA) in SSC in academic year 2023-24 examinations will only be considered for admission. Final admission will be based on the Rank obtained in the entrance test. Both English Medium and Telugu Medium students can apply for admission. All the ST students (Boys & Girls) who are appearing for the 7th class in April 2023 24 in TW Residential Schools, Ashram Schools, Govt. Schools and other Govt. Recognized schools can apply for admission in SOEs for the academic year 2024-25. They have to write the entrance test that the society will conduct. Both English Medium and Telugu Medium students can apply for admission. Students whose parental income does not exceed Rs.1,00,000/- per annum can only apply. Application Procedure
All ST students meeting the above-mentioned criteria can apply online on the website of Gurukulam (aptwgurukulam.ap.gov.in). Only students who apply for entrance tests online are eligible to attend the entrance test. Off-line applications are not considered for admission.
The following are the documents to be produced at the time of admission.
Entrance test
An entrance test will be conducted at all the district headquarters of AP. The hall tickets of the eligible candidates can be downloaded from their website. The candidates are requested to visit APTWREIS (Gurukulam) Tadepalli for the details about the test centres.
The entrance test for admission to Intermediate will be 100 marks and the questions will be from the syllabus of tenth and other lower classes of AP state. The duration of the test will be 2.30 hrs. Questions will be one-word answer questions, fill-in-the-blanks and matching. Questions from the English language are for 20 marks. Questions from Mathematics will be for 40 marks. Questions from Physical sciences will be for 20 marks and questions from biological sciences will be for 20 marks.
The entrance test for admission to the 8th class will be 100 marks. The Syllabus will be the 7th class of AP state schools and lower classes. The questions will be one-word answer questions, fill-in-the-blanks and matching. The subject covered are English ( 10 Marks), Telugu (10 Marks), Hindi (10 Marks), Mathematics(20 Marks), Physical Sciences (15 Marks), Biological Sciences (15 Marks) and Social Studies (20 Marks).
